About Me
I am a registered childminder and a recently retired registered nurse. I have been a nurse for 40 years in many different areas of nursing, lastly as a respiratory nurse specialist looking after people with asthma and other respiratory diseases.
I work 4 days a week alongside my daughter a qualified early years teacher who now uses those skills as a childminder, and one day a week on my own within my home in Petersfield, close to all amenities.
My Experience
I have personal experience in raising my own daughter who has gone on to train as an early years teacher, and have worked as a childminder for over 4 years now.
I have completed the NCFE CACHE level 3 award in preparing to work in home based childcare enabling me to understand how childminding supports the Early Years Stautory Framework. My daughter a qualified early years teacher joined me in 2020 as a childminder and works alongside me at my premises. We cover every day of the week between us.
We have both had our Ofsted inspections and achieved Good in all areas.

My Availability
We are full now until September 2025 when 1 of our little ones starts school. School pick up from Petersfield Infant School only.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Fees are based on an hourly rate, once dates and times are contracted payment will be made for the month in advance even when child does not attend due to holiday or ill health.
Meals can be provided at an extra cost, snacks and nappies are included within the hourly rate.

Gail looks after my 1 year old boy and she has been amazing with him. He came to her from another setting where he really struggled and since going to Gail he has blossomed - he goes straight over to her for a hug the minute he sees her - it's been such a relief to know he is so happy. She has a lovely dedicated playroom for the children with lots of resources. She is also a registered, experienced nurse which is reassuring! I feel very happy with the care she provides and can highly recommend her.
