My name is Kim, I am a 26 year old Qualified Performing Arts teacher from Liverpool. I have a willingness to learn and participate in any relevant training and development opportunities that arise. If I am appointed to this post, I will utilise the skills I have acquired through my experience in work and life, to educate and nurture your children assisting them in achieving the best of their potential.
I enjoy spending my spare time with foster children placed in my families care. I also regularly provide rest bite for foster carers in need of support. I frequently Dance classes in a range of different styles. As part of local female harmony duo Indigo Rose, we perform at charity events, festivals, competitions, fashion shows, and have previously sang at various prestigious venues including Liverpool Echo Arena and London Wembley Arena. In my spare time I like going for walks, socialising with friends and tackling new challenges.
Throughout my extensive training within the Performing Arts, I have gained a vast amount of experience I am eager to utilise engaging with children. I have previously demonstrated my excellent ability to work as part of a team or an individual. I have utilised my problem solving skills, and my capability of making quick and effective decisions in various job roles. My experience of working with children at all ages and levels, means that I am able to identify each individuals needs, and differentiate where appropriate. I have a great passion to build and maintain an effective working relationship with families and their children. I have always strived to achieve my maximum potential, and believe myself to be an extremely positive role model to young individuals.
I have performed for over 20 years, and was inspired to pursue a carer sharing my experience with children by my own Dance teacher in Secondary School. I would appreciate the opportunity to inspire young individuals as much as my teacher did for me. I believe I am a great ambassador to children, and through the medium of Performing, I will help guide them to becoming confident young individuals. I aspire to foster a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment, in which children thrive and develop at their own pace. I believe that Performing gives young people an opportunity to express themselves in a non-judgemental creative environment. I aim to embed an appreciation of human creativity and achievement. I have regularly volunteered for Sefton Council’s Children’s Trust and a LAC choir.
In my current position as a teacher, I utilise a range of positive techniques and behaviour management strategies. I have vast experience of working with pupils who have behavioural and emotional difficulties, and ensure that a good level of support is provided for them. I demonstrate and promote positive values attitudes and behaviour, by building a mutual respect developed through consistent work between the child and myself.
