I am a mother (of two) and ex-nanny looking to return to this line of work after working as an Executive PA for many years. I'm now looking for a change and have just completed my Doula training! I am super excited to begin my journey as a doula and am now available as a Postnatal Doula or part-time nanny. I would love to support a family who are looking for a loving, caring and experienced part-time and / or temporary nanny over the coming months.
I would ideally like to look after an under 1 year old but happy to consider older kids as part of the package too!
My children would generally not need to be at work with me but if the family is open to it I may sometimes bring my son along. Both my kids are very social and love other children, especially babies!
I have my own transport, full drivers licence and many years daily London driving experience together with good cooking skills and obviously excellent childcare experience!
Please get in touch for a chat if you think I could helpful to your family.
I was a fulltime nanny for seven years (1990 - 1997) before moving onto office-based work. I worked in NZ, America and the UK and have vast experience with all age groups including newborn. I completed a nanny course at that time and was always fully up to date with First Aid. I am completing a new Paedeatric First Aid course in early June to bring my skills back up to date. I am also in the process of having a DBS completed.
I am also a mother to two wonderful children (currently 3 and 7 years old) and so obviously also have that experience! Becoming a mother myself gave me a very different perspective on life and I believe definitely gives me that 'something special' when it comes to caring for other people's children. I am an empathetic and genuinely caring person with a love of little people. It is such a priviledge to be part of their life journeys!
NZ Nanny certificate, First Aid (in process of updating), Have completed birth and postnatal doula training with Developing Doulas in May 2019. DBS (in process of obtaining).
Currently I am just putting out feelers to see if there'd be any interest in my services and am flexible with days, times etc. though very early mornings would be difficult. Ideally I would like 2 -3 days a week work from May / June time but could be open to more for the right family and if I can make it work with my own children's schedules.
Ad-hoc weekends would be fine too.
