About Me
I am an Ofsted-registered childminder with a passion for language and communication. We go on daily adventures in our local area and I have a large, enclosed garden where they can play and explore the wonderful natural world as well as be little gardeners and grow their own fruit and vegetables. I also have a beautiful playroom with space to be creative in arts and crafts, lots of books, and a variety of toys to support the little ones' development. My home from home, small-scale environment allows me to spend regular one on one time with each child and cater the activities and routine to their needs and preferences.
I have experience in working with children with special needs (autism, speech and developmental delays) and am a specialist childcare provider outside my regular working hours to offer relief care for families with a special needs child.
I have valid pediatric first aid and an enhanced DBS certificate. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and tailor activities to the prescribed curriculum, with a focus on language and communication development. I am a mum of two boys (ages 12 and 5). Having been a full-time working mum myself I understand parents' needs and offer the kind of care I would have liked to receive: flexible, affordable, safe, educational and most of all enjoyable for your little one.
I offer healthy, home-cooked meals and snacks and ensure the food we eat supports their dental health.
I accept childcare vouchers and am signed up to the tax-free childcare scheme. I also provide the 15 - or 30-hour funded childcare for children 3 and 4 years old and the 15-hour funded childcare for 2-year-olds. I will be offering the new funded childcare as and when it is implemented from 2024. My focus is on early years childcare (up to school age) and I do not routinely offer after-school care unless it is for continuity of care for children who I have minded before going to school.
My regular opening times are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, but I can accommodate earlier start and later pick-up times if needed (earliest start at 7:30am and latest pickup time at 6pm). Fridays are available upon request.
Please note that in order to safeguard all children in my care as well as my own family, I expect my minded children to follow the appropriate vaccination process (as defined by the NHS) for their age.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for fours years and am very proud of my Ofsted 'good' rating from June 2022. The report clearly shows my passion for quality childcare as well as the great level of childcare I provide.
My Qualifications
- NCFE CACHE Level 3 qualification in preparing to work in home based childcare
- Qualified to perform nationally recognised Wellcomm screen (assesses speech and language ability)

Due to a child leaving for school I have a full-time place available from October 2023 (minimum 2 days per week).

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
My rate is all-inclusive: it includes standard expenses such as food, nappies, wipes and outings, so there are no hidden fees. It means you never have to worry about making a packed lunch or remembering to bring a bag or pop round separately to top up nappies/ wipes, etc! For children who qualify for funded childcare (15 or 30 hours per week term-time) I charge a reasonable daily consumables fee which covers the above expenses.
