I’m Kate, I am 23 years old and originally from South East London. I am a confident, patient and trustworthy nanny, with over 5 years' experience working with children from the ages of 1 to 18 of all abilities and needs, both in educational settings and private households. I have worked in various primary and secondary schools in South East London, I have also been working as a children’s performer for almost 4 years, entertaining children at birthday parties and events. I am incredibly positive, hard-working and enthusiastic, with an aim to provide high quality childcare, as well as creating a caring, compassionate and professional environment to assist with all familial needs.
I am OFSTED Registered, trained in paediatric first aid and common core skills, and am dedicated to constantly developing my skills and knowledge, frequently taking CPD courses through PACEY. I hold a clean UK driver’s license, an enhanced DBS certificate and PLI.
I am currently taking a year out of my studies as a mature student at university due to the current pandemic. I have been working towards a degree in Theatre and Performance with the end goal of becoming a Drama teacher. I love working with children and helping them grow with fun and positivity. There is a slowness and gentleness to my practice, with a focus on on emotional literacy and expression, encouraging growth through creativity and positive affirmations and encouragement.
I am currently working with an incredible family, with 2 children ages 3 and 5. My responsibilities include drop off and pick up, making breakfast and dinner, light housework tasks, supervising playdates and after-school activities, bedtimes and evening childcare. I am able to cook, clean, and do anything to make busy family life that little bit easier!
I have worked in various schools in South East London as a specialist Performing Arts teaching assistant, where I was able to lead lessons for children ages 11-18. I am trained in behaviour management techniques, am an avid listener and great conflict settler! I have also previously worked for children’s theatre academy CSTA, running workshops across South East London for children aged 4-18. I have planned and led hundreds of workshops on all kinds of themes and techniques, which has allowed me to develop techniques for helping children learn and grow with fun and ease.
My work with Spellbound Parties as a children’s performer is truly a delight. I run parties and events for up to 35 children at a time, from young babies to 8 year olds. I am energetic, great at planning fun activities for children, have meticulous time-keeping skills and am incredibly organised.
I love to bring aspects of my performance and educational backgrounds to my childcare work, as I feel it is key to include both fun and discipline when working with children in order to create a happy and open environment.

Kate has been a fantastic nanny for our three children (age 7, 5 and 1) over the past year.
Kate is enthusiastic, organised and has been a very positive role model to our kids. She has been highly supportive to our family, particularly helping with homeschooling during the recent pandemic, and also taking on the additional care of our 1 year old when her nursery was closed.
Whilst working as our nanny, Kate has done school pickups, supervised play dates , done bedtime and evening babysitting, helped with club/activity drop offs and even picked up groceries and prepared meals for the kids. Kate is always eager to help. She is also very intuitive and proactively ensures the children are entertained and well taken care of.
Kate has provided a range of educational and enjoyable activities for our kids, ranging from trips to the beach, the library, swimming and numerous art and craft projects.
Kate is a nanny who our kids adore, and an anchor to us as parents- helping us to balance our work and family life with ease.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kate as a trusted and irreplaceable nanny!
