About Me
I am an experienced early years childcarer with 13 years experience working in pre-schools and as a private nanny. I love the outdoors and am Forest School trained, so wellies and waterproofs, sun screen and plasters are always at hand! I spend a lot of time engaged in various crafts and love cooking, so these activities naturally feature in my work with children. I'm also a strong advocate of independence trainings from an early age and promote enjoyable literacy experiences from a young age, from Makaton signing for infants to story telling and regular reading with pre-school and school aged children.
My Experience
I have spent most of my career working in Pre-Schools, so posess a sound understanding of learning outcomes and developmental progression for the early years, and have an excellent catalogue of successful proactive positive behaviour strategies. I have also spent many years as a private nanny in London, New York and Brighton. I am currently a deputy manager in a Montessori preschool and am looking for a new role nearer to where I live.
