My Summary

My Experience

While living in Australia I worked as our organisations Community Coordinator and Youth Liaison. A few of my responsibilities included administering nationally recognised, personal development and group mentoring programmes in both state primary and secondary schools. This consisted of one-on-one mentoring with children, both small group and class size empowerment programme for year six girls and older, as well as teaching weekly lessons in primary schools. I also facilitated and was a part of after school and holiday programmes. Weekly we held a free local sport and art event in the park, with a free BBQ for anyone in the community to join!

Furthermore I was on the core team for running a large-scale regional and local event called North Brisbane Easter Festival. This event was catered towards families. We saw at least 2000 people enter the park over those two days and enjoy anything from food vendors to inflatable football fields to live music and more! I absolutely loved my job!!

Since returning from Australia pre lockdown, I was working as a supply teacher with the aim to become permanent. During this time I worked one-on-one with SEN children, helping them to focus and complete their work. I was quick at adapting the lesson to suit their specific learning style.

During lockdown I completed a Level 3 Child Psychology Diploma. I also volunteered with my church by putting together kids resources and crafts ideas. As well as acting as an NHS responder.

Moreover I have volunteered in many different areas looking after children over the years; including church camps, Sunday schools and babysitting. For 3 years I was in charge of planning and running the kids Sunday school programme and communicating to all volunteers.

I looked after two kids who were aged 5 and 7 for a family who have become dear to my heart, for a total of two years.

Between the years of 2014 and 2018 I was a published writer for Christian Today, submitting articles every six weeks. I was awarded with a Press Service International young writers award.

I am currently in my second year of University studying towards a Theology and Counselling degree.

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour

£20 for all regular hours

£25 for unsociable hours, anything before 8:30am and after 6:30pm
