About Me
I have recently set up as an Ofsted registered childminder in Woodthorpe.
I am very excited to start a job in something I absolutely love. I discovered my passion for caring for and helping children grow and develop since having children of my own, my daughter is 6 and my step son is 10.
I strongly believe in learning through play and allowing children to be children and have fun.
I aim to provide an environment that they can feel happy, safe and secure to become themselves and develop their interests in a caring home from home setting.
I will provide a combination of planned themes and activities throughout the year alongside planning in the moment in order to encourage child led and free play, I feel the Hygee approach of living in the moment and finding joy in simplicity is a great way for child led play and developing the children's interests.
I believe in getting out in nature daily and trying to include play and nature in every day learning and ways of life. It's a great way for children to experience and explore the world around them and has such a powerful impact on positive mental health and wellbeing.
I will always take into account the whole needs of a child, emotionally, physically, academically and spiritually and aim to help children develop and flourish.
our home is a semi detached dorma bungaow in a cul de sac where your children will have access to a play room with well equipped toys, craft materials, books and learning prompts, living room, downstairs WC, enclosed garden with play equipment, and kitchen/dining area.
we live approximately 5 minute walk away from woodthorpe school and park.
i strive to accommodate all childcare requirements and would be delighted to meet you and your child informally at our home to discuss these whilst having a good look around.

My Experience
I have recently changed careers and just set up as an Ofsted registered childminder I have experience looking after and caring for children from been a mother to two children. i absolutely love and am passionate about giving every child the best opportunities available to them.

My Availability
I have immediate vacancies for under 5's and for before and after school care for Woodthorpe Primary School. I offer all year round contracts and term time contracts. I am open between the hours of 7am and 5.30pm Monday- Friday.
