About Me
I have been an OFSTED registered childminder for 13 years providing a home from home setting within the Apostles area of Raynes Park. My home is a safe, secure and fun environment for children to thrive in. I offer drop off and collection to Wimbledon Chase School (where both of my children attended) and as such provide an early years setting to prepare children for the school environment.
Children will also be taken to the local park, childminders groups, soft play, farms, shops, and the local library on a regular basis.
I provide a range of activities at home which include arts and crafts, story time, singing time, music, role play, baking and outdoor play as well as being involved in the local community by attending play groups and story times.
Parents are given a full weekly menu and I also provide a progress book filled with art work, pictures and development progress.
I am a mother of two children and we also have a Miniature Schnauzer who is fully house trained and has grown up with children of all ages. Being a mini Schnauzer he is also hypoallergenic.
My Experience
I have 13 years working as a childminder with children from 0-5 years. Prior to this I was a child swimming teacher. I have coached junior hockey and volunteered in coaching with para hockey. I have always enjoyed working with children and their families.

CACHE level 3 NVQ in child care development
Full Paediatric First aid
Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for EYFS
Full DBS Check
My knowledge remains up to date by attending regular courses with Merton and other providers

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
£8 per hour or £75 per day which includes a nutritious home cooked lunch and an afternoon snack. All playgroup and outing costs are inclusive.

Our daughter has been attending Sian’s setting for the last two years – and since her very first day, she has never been happier. Sian is everything you could want in a childminder, she is friendly, kind and professional – and it is clear to see that she cares deeply about the happiness and well-being of each of the children she looks after.
As a first time Mum, I was naturally concerned about leaving our daughter to return to work, but Sian made the whole process so easy and simple – ensuring I was (and still am) kept in the loop on the fun and adventures our daughter enjoys while she is in Sian’s care.
Any child would be extremely lucky to be cared for by Sian – and I would recommend her without hesitation.

Both my sons are currently looked after by Sian. My eldest has been there for 3.5 years and my youngest for 1.5 years. We have been incredibly happy with Sian and both my boys love going to her setting. She has a wonderful manner with the children, takes them on outings regularly, encourages them to be independent and it's a big bonus that she has a dog! I highly recommend her - as the title of my review says - Sian is amazing!
