About Me
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with a degree from the University of Manchester and a PGCE from UCL. I have been teaching in London for 6 years as a middle leader, phonics lead and a SENCO specialist. At the end of March 2021 I will be moving to Glasgow and I am looking for childcare work in the local area from Monday to Friday. I am a outdoor lover and use forest school learning in most of my lessons. I went to Reggio Emilia in Italy to learn about their philosophy of teaching children. I learnt the importance of the child leading their learning which is centered round their own interests. This is why I am applying for childcare work as I could combine by profession with my love of children and their individual ideas and quirks! I am a ultramarathon runner and have endless energy so I always run, dance and walk everyday with the children in my class and would love to meet a family to do the same. I love reading and would do multiple story times a day with any children I look after. I have recently looked after a Italian speaking 2 year old for 6 months in Edinburgh. It has been so rewarding to watch him progress and develop, particularly in his language and self-expression. I have loved getting to know his family and look forward to joining a new one in Glasgow when we move.
My Experience
As stated above I am a primary school teacher on a sabbatical year. I have looked after children in the local area for babysitting jobs. I have recently nannyed a 2 year old.

My Availability
I will be available all day but will not be looking for overnight work. My boyfriend's working hours end at 8pm so I wouldn't mind working till then but would want to be back for dinner with him.
