Hi! I’m Maeve, a Psychology graduate from Northern Ireland and been living in London for 2 years. I have been childminding/babysitting since i was 15 and absolutely adore taking care of children! I’m originally from Derry and I am 24 years old. I have interests in music and sports such as piano (grade 8) guitar, Drama (grade 8) and experience in netball, rowing, swimming and tennis! I love arts and crafts and have an A in my gcse art, and a lot of experience during my time at an SEN school with 1:1 tutoring, providing individualised care, support and education to children with ASD (severe and high functioning).
I have experience and knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, crisis management, risk assessment and health and safety for children at early years and primary age.
In September ‘23 I will be starting my Masters in Clinical psychology and will therefore have more flexibility during the week.
My Experience
I have experience babysitting for about 5 years or so, and I have also 1 year experience as an applied behaviour analyst tutor in a school for children with autism in London. I therefore have training in safeguarding, first aid, crisis management, risk assessment and most importantly the health and safety of the pupils (ages 4-13).
I also have 1 month work experience in a mainstream primary school in a primary 7 class.
From ages 16-18 I was a chaperone for drama students in the Foyle school of Speech and Drama. This involves listening to their performances (poems, solo dramas etc) and offering advice and building their confidence.
I was also a Learning support assistant for 8 months for children aged between Year 3 and Year 6 from September 21’ to May 22.

10 GCSE’s (A’s in English and math)
1 year experience at Parkhouse school (A Beyond Autism school)

My Availability
Most evenings and weekends, may have some availability during the day as I can work from home.
