About Me

I am a qualified and experienced nanny with fourteen years' experience of working with children from newborn up to the age of 11.

I also have a high level of general education, having read English at Oxford University and later gone on to study law and train as a solicitor. I always aim to use my intellectual strengths to help the children in my care to progress and develop their cognitive skills. I speak fluent French and can introduce the language to children through books, games, nursery rhymes and everyday conversation.

I believe that routine is important for young children - and so are cuddles and laughter and lots of fun! I am a very affectionate and active nanny and have a close circle of nanny friends with whom I arrange fun activities and play dates and with whom I attend various children’s groups.

My Experience

I have fourteen years’ childcare experience. I have been with one family in particular for 11 years, since the first of the three children was born. In the last couple of years I have also worked with first-time parents helping them to settle their children into routines and to make their first friends.

In all my posts I have kept meticulous records of the children's daily activities and progress. I have involved them in a wide range of regular activities as well as taking them on daily outings to parks, museums, play and music groups, baby gyms and baby massage groups.

My Qualifications

I have passed the OCN Common Core Skills in Childcare Course.

My other qualifications are as follows:

Graduate Diploma in Law
BA Hons Degree in English (Oxon)
3 A levels, 2 AS levels, 9 GCSEs.

My Fees

Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)

I am looking for between £14 and £15 per hour and would require my employers to pay my tax and NI and pension contributions in the usual way through an agency such as Nannytax.
