About Me
Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a 28 year old from Canada looking for a live-out opportunity this spring/summer.
I had been planning to move to Scotland for a few years now to be closer to family, but unfortunately everything with the Covid 19 climate had pushed a few things back. I am currently based in Greenock, and willing to travel/commute for the right fit, and I am looking for a family to care for starting at any time! As I have dual citizenship, I can stay for any length of time without a worry of visas, while still getting to give you and your family that ‘au pair’ experience, having grown up in Canada.
A little bit about me: I am a kind, patient, caring and hard-working person, with a full driver’s license, and many years’ experience working with children (I was known as the ‘neighbourhood babysitter’ starting at the age of 13). I am a big homebody, and in my spare time you can usually find me knitting while snuggling with a pet, or getting out to hike and explore when the opportunity presents itself. When working with kids, I love getting involved in arts and crafts, baking, anything to get their imaginations going! I really just genuinely enjoy getting to watch little ones grow and develop into their own and treasure any chance I get to be a part of that.
My Experience
I have previously au paired for a year each in Australia and New Zealand and have many additional years’ experience caring for children and pets of all ages and personalities. While I know many families really look forward to having that live-in, big sister experience, and I myself loved it as well, the reason I am looking for a live-out opportunity is only because I come as a package deal with my crazy, loveable dog. (Just for living purposes, I wouldn’t be bringing her when I care for kids!) I know that I can still provide that big sister feeling even living out, however – I have four younger siblings myself, as well as a number I have “adopted” along the way.

First Aid/CPR trained
Experience with all ages (newborn-18 years)

My Availability
I am flexible in start/end times and dates, duties, hours worked per week, expectations, you name it. If you are looking for a flexible nanny/au pair with lots of experience in a live-out situation, please do not hesitate to reach out!
