About Me

Paediatric first aid trained babysitter. University of Cambridge graduate and professional tutor. PVG scheme member and Enhanced DBS checked.

Working with autistic and neurodivergent young people:

I have worked for nearly 2 years with neurodivergent young people in the school setting. I have full nurture training and lots of experience supporting positive behaviours and wellbeing. I am autistic myself, so love helping these young people to flourish.

Childcare:

I am an experienced and fun childcare professional who loves to help kids develop through learning and play! Please feel free to enquire about babysitting and nannying. I have up-to-date certificates in paediatric first aid and safeguarding children with additional needs (SEN) as well as DBS and PVG certificates.

Tutoring:
In my six years of teaching, I have worked as a live-in tutor, TEFL teacher, Cambridge Access Ambassador and teacher to over 30 students from KS2 to A level. My approach is to develop a positive learning environment based on trust and encouragement. We begin with a diagnostics session and move forward to age and ability appropriate learning.

English / History / Religious Studies / Psychology / Philosophy / EPQ / General Primary Education / EFL / School and University entrance

I am a kind and vibrant teacher who treats students as individuals, with their own unique interests and personalities. I want my students to enjoy their lessons and be able to self-motivate!

My Experience

Private Tutor
Delivering Philosophy, Psychology, English Literature / Language, History and Religious Studies lessons to children and young people. I have well-developed lesson plans which provide well-rounded preparation for general learning, exams and entrance tests. Depending on the Key Stage and the time of the academic year, we work on exploring the syllabus or working through past papers.
I am very responsive to student ability level —I have worked with students with dyslexia and also those with behavioural issues, understanding that it is the responsibility of the teacher to adapt to the student.

Private company
Teaching GCSE English and Philosophy lessons to non-native speakers, mostly from China. I work with the students throughout the week, helping them with reading, writing and sometimes fluency. My students in this role range in age and ability levels, from 11 years old to 17.

Private company
Teaching Religious Studies, History and English lessons. In this role, I work with KS2 & KS3 students. I deliver engaging and discussion provoking lessons about culture and history, whilst encouraging students to express their own ideas and opinions.

Live in tutor
Living with a family of three children, working with them every day to learn English vocabulary, grammar, fluency and pronunciation alongside their USA curriculum.

University of Cambridge Access & Outreach Ambassador
I worked regularly on access residential events, taster workshops, keynote talks, open days, tours and student q&a’s. Helping students to create personal statements and prepare for university interviews.
