About Me

My husband and I are relocating to Plymouth in the summer. I am currently a deputy head at a private school and would like to take a few years break from my career in order to spend more time with my baby girl (1 year old). Therefore, any position I would consider must allow my little girl to join.

I am considering full time work or part time. This could be during the day, afternoon, morning or evening. I am very flexible as I am looking for a position that is the right fit, rather than for the money.

As well as a deputy head, I am also a reception teacher. I absolutely adore children of all ages but especially, younger children. I love to spend time outdoors, do arts and craft and just have fun with children. Messy play and jumping in puddles is a must! I am extremely patient, promote child led learning and love using a montessori approach within my classroom (although not specifically trained in this).

I can be firm when I need to be when setting boundaries, however, do not believe in shouting at children. I believe that children should be nurtured and taught how to make decisions. It is important to make mistakes in order to learn and children need to learn consequences. I believe that children should reflect on behaviour in order to make better choices in the future.
