About Me

I am a 21-year-old female.

I currently work at GSL education as a cover SEN teaching assistant, however, have been accepted as a part-time teaching assistant at Ellesmere starting on August 25th. I mainly work in Primary and have spent a good deal of time-based in different classes and have a good relationship with the kids and the teachers.
I am a 2nd-year student at De Montfort University going into my last and final year in October, taking a degree in Health and Wellbeing in Society, as part of which research topics such as the NHS, Social Care, and the provision of education for those with additional educational needs.

I have another connection with the children at the special needs school that I work at. In that, I have ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia, and as such, I can relate to some of the struggles they have. I believe these conditions help me to understand the kids better. As well as working hard, I think of myself as a good role model for the kids who can help them realise that a learning disability should not determine who you are and what you can achieve in life.

Everyone who knows me knows that I have a heart of gold and adore children. I also have a very kind, caring, and gentle nature. I am a fun and enthusiastic person who loves getting stuck in and is very energetic, joining in with the activities with the kids. Due to my own difficult experiences in primary and secondary education, I’m also very sympathetic to the situations the kids are sometimes in.

I have relevant experience working with vulnerable older people in domiciliary and residential care so am also very comfortable with personal care and any necessary changing of pads.

I also love cooking and doing art in my spare time, so like to see myself as a very creative person. I also have four rabbits who are very spoilt and who I lovee!

I also love animals, so if you have any animals, this would be an added bonus as I adore them!
