About Me
I am an Rutland Agency Registered Childminder, I have full and part time vacancies available and I also do a drop off and pick up services from the local school, nursery and playgroups.. I also work Saturdays.
I have three children of my own, 2 are quite grown up now aged 29 and 27 and a 21 year old. I also have a yappy but friendly dog and a tortoise which encourages children tolerance towards animals.
I have a dedicated toy/play room which offers a relaxed atmosphere for playing and learning. I have toys and resources for to suit children of all ages and stages of development. I encourage learning through play, exploration, and positive praise but with firm boundaries.
I am trained up to level 2 in Makaton. I use basic Makaton with babies/toddlers which encourages speech and eliminates frustration in babies/toddlers being unable to communicate through lack of speech. I am also learning BSL.
I am able to offer 15 hours free funding for 2 year olds meeting the government criteria and 15/30 hours free funding for all 3/4 year olds.
I also offer a babysitting service if you require it.

My Experience
I have been registered for 19 years and have completed a level 3 qualification Diploma in Homebased childcare and a Level 3 NVQ in childcare as well as attending many other courses over the years.

I have had experience in looking after children with disabilities. I am willing to make any reasonable adjustments to my setting to accommodate any child with a disability. I will also take any training necessary to ensure that I am providing the best possible care for your child.
My Qualifications
level 3 DHC, Level 3 NVQ in Childcare, Level 2 Food Hygiene, first aid, equality and diversity, safeguarding children, These are compulsory Ofsted courses. I have also attended many courses over the years, please email me for details as too numerous to mention.
