About Me
My name is Carroline Shelbourne, I am a happy and positive Mum of 4, I still have 1 child (young lady) living at home, my youngest has finished at the College of West Anglia & is now a carer. I am currently working as a teaching assistant in a mainstream primary school, but am looking for employment as a full time nanny, a job in which I have always looked to return to when the time was right for my family. Working independently, within a family and their routine is something I do well at, using initiative and with confidence. I enjoy encouraging and helping children to achieve and grow into sociable and independent people.
My Experience
I have many years of experience as I am a full time Mum of 4, my eldest is now 27 and my youngest 20, also I have two granddaughters who are 6 & 2 years old and 4 Grandsons 4 yrs and 3yrs, 2 yrs & 1 yr old. Prior to this I had worked in a children's nursery and then a Nanny to 2 boys for 2 years. Since then, for the last 9 years (and currently) I am working in a mainstream primary school as a teaching assistant for children with special needs (this has included Autism, global delay & mobility needs) I have first aid training and have attended courses for epilepsy and behavior awareness, also worked alongside speech & language therapists, occupational therapists & physiotherapists. Since last September I also work 3 evenings a week in a residential home caring for the elderly.
My Qualifications
Current CRB.
First aid certificate.
Elklan ... speech & language qualification.
My Availability
I am looking for a full time position and I can be flexible with hours required.
