I am an Ofsted registered childminder and provide care for little ones from age 6mths to five years in a lovely warm home environment in Hinchley Wood/Thames Ditton. I follow the Early Years Foundation program (EYFS) which provides age appropriate play and learning for babies and toddlers within a wonderful fun filled day and I have been graded OUTSTANDING by Ofsted
The children enjoy indoor play and outdoor play with lots of activities, song time, jigsaws, happy people, trains, cars, duplo, brio, dolls, prams, home corner, drawing, craft activities and we love reading, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Room on a broom and The Gruffalo being amongst some of our favourites!
We spend some time outdoors most days either in the garden on the slide and seesaw, growing vegetables and flowers in the summer, building camps or using outdoor play tables for toys and games. We visit local parks and toddler groups like Claremont Gardens, Hobbledown, Hampton Court Palace, Cheeky Monkeys soft play and Giggs Hill playground or the library.
The Early Years Foundation Curriculum; helps me promote development, provide structure and encourages our little people in the areas of Physical Development ie lots of fresh air and running around, Communication with lots of chatting, exploring and making friends, Art & Design with lots of sticking, gluing and messy painting, Language & Literacy more chatting and reading books, Personal Social and Emotional Development making friends, taking turns, washing our hands, becoming independant. To develop Knowledge and Understanding of the World we enjoy nature walks at Claremont & Hobbledown.

Barbara looked after our daughter for 2 years. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has always been enthusiastic, reliable and very caring. She has created a fun, safe environment and places a great deal of importance in instilling life and educational skills to the children in her care. We count ourselves extremely lucky that Barbara looked after our little one!

Just saw this Mrs Thames Ditton! Thank you so much for such a wonderful review and let me say to any prospective nanny, ; you are delightful parents!
Barbara has looked after my daughter on a few ad hoc occasions when my usual childminder has been away on holiday. Barbara goes out of her way to be as helpful as possible and is so flexible. She provides a warm and caring environment for the children and is great at taking them on excursions to the local national trust gardens or to the local fire station open day! My daughter had a great time.

Thanks Claire, Happy to help any time, keep in touch bx
I was very fortunate to find Barbara in Hinchley Wood, otherwise I was pretty much up the creek. As a single parent with a young boy going to school amd me working a full day in London I was desparate and everyone seemed to be full. .
She actually went out of her way to really help me and my son settle down in Hinchley Wood, even though he was older than her normal wards. I cant tell you enough about how supportive and her ability to work things out is in my humble opinion 'rock solid'.
