I could not speak more highly of Gill. My son Archie has recently left her care due to his age. He attended Gills from the age of 1 years old and I chose her because my cousins child attended there previously and absolutely loved and still loves her even though he is now 7 years old. She also had an amazing OFSTED report.

It was a rocky start as Archie had not experienced being left with anybody other than close family members. He did the typical thing of crying when myself or anybody else dropped him off which pulled at the heart strings but I was always assured he stopped soon after I left and Gill was always warm and friendly and there to give him cuddles when he was upset. I was also sent pictures of him having great fun at playgroups, one of which Gill actually runs 3 x per week, painting, out for walks in buggy, soft play, reading books, eating and generally just playing with toys and making friends with other children in the setting which I think is lovely. He always looked so happy which resonated with the fact that once he had settled in the tears stopped on a morning and I could not get him back out of her door as he did not want to leave to come home!

Gill takes such pride in what she does and always sent Archie home with his diary of everything he had done that day including naps, diet, poops and wee's! I also wrote in the diary which I found useful to communicate through when Archie was going through toilet training, reducing naps etc. She really worked with us when we wanted to try and reduce his naps. Gill is a really energetic and pro-active childminder and I still see and speak to her when I see her out and about pushing and walking her other children she looks after. A file with Archie's learning and development milestones was also sent home throughout the year which was lovely to look through and must of taken ages to put together. It was much appreciated by us! I would not hesitate to ask Gill to childmind again in the future if I have anymore children as i know they will be safe, warm, fed, happy and entertained in a nurturing and learning environment which as a working parent is everything I need in a childminder! I am only sad that now Archie is in full time nursery we cant even visit her at her fantastic playgroup anymore on a morning!
