We were really keen for our son to have some experience of being cared for outside the home for socialisation, and this has been a fantastic experience for him. I have noticed an enormous difference in how much more confident he is around other children and adults. At home, he regularly talks about Laura, Clair and his friends and activities he has done with them. He has become much more confident about playing independently, something he rarely didn't before starting with Laura. We have also seen significant improvements in his communication: listening, understanding and speaking. He is much more able to express himself effectively, developing narratives and explanations for his actions or intentions.
Laura has been adaptable to our needs and worked with us to make the placement just right for him. We began with one five hour session a week, but increased this to two sessions a week to help our son become accustomed more quickly to the environment. This has worked really well and most days when I ask him what he wants to do, he says 'Go to Laura's house'.
Laura has been excellent at providing feedback and also suggestions for how we could help his progress at home. The use of technology to provide rapid information about our son's activities and progress in the day is impressive and gives us confidence he is both happy and challenged. I found it very useful that Laura shared the language and strategies she uses if he becomes upset at drop off and how I can talk to him at home to prepare him for the day. It was also very useful the advice she gave about regularly talking to him about the other children and making up stories together about going to Laura's house.
We've been very impressed with the way Laura has considered our son's needs, interests and development. He is clearly challenged by new activities and enjoys his time with her. We have been really impressed at the strong relationship she has built with our son even though he is only there for a short time each week. He clearly feels very secure and confident with her and she was excellent at very quickly understanding his needs, interests and strategies that he responds to best.

I came across Laura, Clair & her little lovelies while on a visit with my daughter to our nearest Country Park.
They caught my eye mainly as the children had fluorescent jackets and The way they engaged with the children in such a lovely tone. Stopping and talking to them about the leaves etc.
Anyway coming back they were in the woods making things and thought right I must find them!
And When I did Laura was just great!
We had to go on the waiting list but as soon as a place came up I knew Evelyn would love it. Ofcourse I was worried she’s only 2 and my 1st child and leaving her with only immediate family~ but after a few settling in sessions she walked in waved me goodbye and had the best time. Laura sent pictures throughout the day and she was smiling in every one and laughing.
She has since settled in lovely~ and talks about what they have done in which the list is endless.
Both Laura and Clair are down to earth and passionate. They have the best interests in the children and Evelyn now naps while Clair sings to her.
It really is the best place for Evelyn to learn, grow and play.

Our nearly two year old has just started with Laura and we have been really happy with the friendliness and professionalism of Laura and Clair.
Laura responded to our initial enquiry within a few hours and organised a visit soon after. She provided lots of clear information about her services and policies. Our son suffers from a number of allergies and carries an Epipen and I have felt confident with Laura’s approach, organisation and questions about his needs.
On my visit I thought that the setting was lovely and all the children were so happy. I was impressed how Laura and Clair integrated numbers and language so well into the children’s natural play. The free flow environment between the inside and outside worked really well and there are clearly loving bonds between Laura, Clair and all the children.
I have felt very reassured that even though our son is only doing one day a week with Laura we have had three settling in sessions. He has never been looked after by anyone except for immediate family so we were unsure how he would respond to being left, but he was more than happy to wave me off and didn’t want to come home when I came to pick him up. I feel Laura has put the same effort into his one day a week as a child starting full time, which has been much appreciated.

Our son who is 3 started with Laura & Clair in January. He is a little shy of new surroundings and people so I was anxious about the big change of him going from family looking after him to a childminder whilst I am at work. I had no need to worry as Laura and Clair have made him feel very welcome and he loves being with them and all of the other children and has settled in lovely. He has lots of fun playing, doing activities, going on outings and making friends with other children and he is learning whilst he is doing it. I have noticed how much confidence he is gaining. Laura is excellent at keeping learning fun.
Communication from Laura is fantastic and I am updated everyday with a daily diary. Laura sends pictures of the adventures the children have been on, It’s nice to see them and what they have been doing. It’s great piece of mind knowing he is happy and having a lovely time. Laura and Clair cater for every child’s individual needs. I know my son is being taken very good care of being with them both and he adores them. I really appreciate everything they do for him and wouldn’t want him to be anywhere else. Thank you both Laura & Clair for everything you do for our little boy xxx

Very apprehensive about finding childcare due to the previous setting my daughter was in not being great. But I shouldn’t have worried! Laura’s is the perfect place for my daughter to be while I’m at work. It’s a second home for my baby and She loves going. She sometimes asks to go at the weekend! Their days are filled with fun learning and making good friendships.
My daughters speech and knowledge since starting have progressed so well. She surprises me with new words/skills every single day (the most recent one being counting to 22! My daughter isn’t even 3 yet!)
I can’t recommend Laura enough!
And to add, Clair is equally as amazing! My daughter takes a little while to warm to people but Clair wasn’t fazed at all. My daughter absolutely loves her now!
Thankyou to you both for welcoming my baby and taking good care of her (even on her mega sassy days)

My daughter has been going to Laura’s Little Lovelies for just over 18 months now and she absolutely loves her time there. We felt so fortunate when Laura offered us a space at her setting after all the wonderful things we had heard about her.
Laura has created such a welcoming and homely environment for the little ones to learn and develop in. My daughter has formed many friendships with the other little lovelies (along with the parents now) & it’s so nice to see the close and tight bond the children have with eachother as well as Laura & her lovely assistant Clair. They are a great duo and have a wonderful working relationship.
Laura recently introduced a Forest school morning to their week which my daughter benefits from greatly. She absolutely loves all outdoor activities and learning about nature (and getting very muddy)!! Yet another great idea that Laura has introduced to all the children’s development.
Laura also acknowledges all cultural celebrations including the little ones birthdays where she will hold a tea party for each of them. I love to see what the children have been up to each day in the daily diary that Laura provides along with the exceptional level of communication that she maintains with us parents.
We feel so lucky that Laura, Clair and their lovely children are all a part of my daughters life, I really believe they enrich it. I’ll be so sad when my daughter has to start school and the happy well organised routine we currently have will have to come to an end.
I highly recommend Laura’s Little Lovelies to anyone looking for a an exceptional childminding service 👍😊

I simply cannot praise laura enough for all the care she has given our son (and us!) over the past three years.
The children take part in tons of activities in a safe and caring environment. Along with the wonderful Clair, Laura has established a real homely feel at her setting and we look forward to hearing about all of the things our son has been involved in every day.
My son has made so much progress with Laura and she makes him feel like a part of her family. Her wonderful children are involved in supporting the younger ones and my son adores them! All the children (and now the parents!) are all great friends and all look forward to spending time together in and outside of laura’s Setting.
Laura works alongside the local pre-school to ensure that there is a consistency of the care, support and enducation that our son is receiving. This is so wonderful to hear that the two settings communicate to support my son.
I am so thrilled that my daughter will be starting with Laura in a few weeks. Even though I will be upset to leave her, I could not think of a better person to look after her and help her. Thank you Laura xxx

I was highly recommended Laura as a childminder when I went back to work.
When I went to meet Laura she told me about all the wonderful things they do with the children and I knew instantly my daughter would love it there. I was immediately put at ease and could see during the settling in time how good Laura was with the children and my daughter so much so that my daughter waved me off when I dropped her off on the first day.
On my daughters first day Laura sent me pictures throughout the day of all the fun she was having and sent me a diary of everything she had done ( fun activities) what she had eaten and her nap time. It was so lovely to see how much fun she was having throughout the day and assured me that she was doing fine without me.
I know my daughter will be not only be enjoying herself but will also be learning lots from Laura and her assistant Claire who is also amazing as they do lots of learning through play.
For all these reasons I highly recommend Laura! Your the best 😊

My daughter started with Laura in September and we couldn't be happier with the level of care she provides. Laura is a very natural carer, she is extremely attentive and always plans each day so the children not only have lots of fun but they get to experience and learn new things indoors and outdoors. I love to hear each day what they have been up to and to see the lovely smile on my daughters face when telling me about it. It makes going to work a lot easier when you know your child is in safe and caring environment.
We love the daily diary Laura sends home each day notifying us of any new observations she's made and detailing the activities they have done. Every day is always varied and structured.
There hasn't been a day go by where our daughter hasn't run up to Laura's door with excitement, which is all credit to Laura. Our daughter is clearly very content and happy to be with her and the other children in her care.
I am just so relieved that we were lucky enough to get a placement with Laura this year as I know she always has waiting lists. I would strongly recommend Laura to anyone who is looking for a outstanding childcare.
