About Me
My name is Nicola and I am 27 years old and I am fully qualified and registered with CSSIW. I have a 2 year old son, Jacob Seb and a 3 month old daughter Piper Amelia. We live together with my partner Karl in the small village Brynteg.
I run Giggles with the help of my mum, we have lots of fun doing arts and crafts, messy play and going on lots of adventures to local parks, play barns, libraries etc.
On a Monday we attend language and play playgroup at the village library, on Tuesday we go to Jo Jingles music class at bluebears playbarn, on Wednesday we attend Blacklane school toy library and Thursday we go somewhere where the children have expressed an interest, for example play park or shops.
Giggles has its own playroom with free access to a secure garden area. We have off road parking for easy and safe collection and drop offs. The children have a wide variety of toys which are all accessible to them, from building blocks and small world to jungle animals and play dough. We also have lots of fun getting messy and creative with impression painting or jelly play.
At Giggles children have home cooked meals and snacks and often help to make yummy puddings during baking activities. Children who attend a full day receive breakfast choice of cereal, fruit or toast, lunch often similar to sandwich or pitta bread, yoghurt and biscuit and a cooked tea similar to cottage pie or lasagne. Fresh fruit and water is provided continuously.
My Experience
I have 10 years plus experience in childcare, 5 of them as a manager of private day nurseries and 4 years running Giggles. I have worked with children aged birth to 11 years. I have a NVQ Level 4 in childcare, learning and development as well as first aid training and food hygiene.
