Family tutoring for all.
I work closely with parents to help you understand the process, keep you informed of progress and will be honest about your child's suitability for selective education. This decision is made after viewing your child's school reports, a brief assessment and more commonly after a period of tuition which gives a more accurate view of your child's personality and ability.
I teach the children in an informal and enjoyable way, using multiple techniques and web based learning. If individuals need additional support that can be offered on a 1-2-1 basis when necessary.
I tutor from my home in Greasby. I teach in small groups of no more than 4 children at a time. After many years experience, this is the format i find is most beneficial to the children making good progress.
For the first time this year I am also offering tutoring support for parents who wish to tutor their own children. These sessions will be held in the daytime on Mondays/Tuesdays in groups at a cost of £5 each.

My Experience
I am a qualified teacher with 15 years experience in Higher and Primary education.
I offer 11+ tuition that covers the new CEM Durham paper and verbal reasoning papers for Upton and St Anselms.
I can support students studying law taking GCSE and A-Level Law.

My Availability
I offer two sessions a week on a Monday at 4:15 and 5:15.
Upton/St Anselms exam
I provide 40 sessions of tutoring in an academic year. 36 are weekly scheduled sessions in term time and the other sessions are during holidays, often in short 1-2-1 sessions to meet individual needs and learning.
Term time sessions are 45 minutes long. Holiday sessions are 1 hr but you will have 4-5 sessions.
West Kirby/Wirral/Calday Grammar
If your first choice school involves the CEM Durham 11+ paper then i recommend starting tuition in the Spring term your child is in year 4 as the exam requires tuition in maths, literacy, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. This usually means 12 sessions of tutoring for the remainder of that academic year followed by a full year of tuition in year 5 starting in late September.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £5.00 per hour
I request fees by standing order on the 1st day of the month.
The above programme of study is charged as follows;
CEM Durham
April-Aug (incl) of year 4 - £40 per month.
September - September (incl) of year 5 - £40 per month
Anselms/Upton only September - September (incl) of year 5/6 - £40 per month
Additional 1-2-1 private sessions £20.

My youngest on has been going to Annie's for he last four years on a before and after school basis. He really enjoys it and was quite pleased when my wife sta.rted Woking full time that he could go more often. When ever we pick him up here is a lovely homely atmosphere wit children of all ages playing happily either imaginatively or creatively but always interacting positively. The children are very respectful of Annie and each other, and minor blips in manners are dealt with clearly kindly and effectively. Annie is a pleasure o work with she endeavours to be flexible regarding pick up times and if will pick children up from after school clubs. I wholeheartedly recommend her!!
