My Summary

My Experience

I have taught in comprehensive, grammar and primary schools. I have knowledge of special needs though not specific qualifications other than teaching qualification, preparation for entrance examinations. The last school I worked in was Langley Grammar in Slough from 2005 -2011.
I can offer study skills and preparation for university including Oxbridge.
I am a fully qualified teacher having held many positions from teacher, head of department, head of house, head of year, I also worked with Roehampton university on secondment to train teachers through lectures and going into their placements and mentored them in school. Since then I have owned my own tutoring business teaching in person and online to students of all ages. I have also been an examiner across several subjects and exam boards so have a very precise understanding of what is expected for each examination which shows in the results I get! Many of my children are coming to me with as low as a level 2 and I get them a level 9 in their exams.
I can offer all primary subjects including entrance examination preparation at 11+, 13+ and common entrance examinations more recently to Eton, Harrow, Monmouth, Cheltenham Ladies, Wellington.
I can teach English and Religious Studies to undergraduate level and Humanities..
I can teach study skills at all levels including preparation for university.
I can also provide critique of essays at EPQ and degree level and proofreading and editing services.

My Qualifications

I have a first class honours degree in Religious Studies with English with university prize from Brunel university,
I have a PGCE from St Marys for Religious Studies Secondary.

My Availability

This is my main job. I can be available for practically any time you require my services provided noone else has taken the space. Contact me to check times.
