About Me
I find I can relate to students in a calm and patient manner and I have enjoyed helping students through difficulties with their subjects. I endeavour to find and solve the problems pupils have in their understanding to give them a firmer grasp of the topic, with the benefits from this being increased confidence and improved results.
My Experience
After various school placements including teaching in St Aidens Harrogate, for two years now I have helped a multitude of pupils ranging from as young as 8 through to mature students (studying for higher qualifications). I also have experience with different syllabuses including Pre-U and I.G.C.S.E. Students and parents have provided positive feedback from the results attained after my tuition including a great improvement in their grade. I have helped several students with Asperger's Syndrome, those with dyslexia and students who are home-schooled or had to move school due to behavioural difficulties or medical conditions.
My Qualifications
With a high first class degree in experimental Physics from the University of York. I am a recent graduate (June 2008) able to tutor Maths and Sciences for qualifications up to and including A Level.
My Availability
I would consider travelling any distance to tutor though I am particularly happy to serve areas surrounding Harrogate. Alternatively, in my home there is a study equipped with a large screened computer available for lessons. Both groups or individuals are welcome. Available at all times of the day or evening, I usually work 6 days a week.

I typically charge the following hourly rates:
£20 Primary
£25 Lower Secondary
£30 GCSE
£35 A level
I do also require repayment for the cost of my travel - rated at just under 20p per mile.
