About Me
I am a responsible and reliable childcare provider. I graduated from university with a psychology degree 9 years ago and have been gaining childcare experience ever since whilst exploring options for a career in child related therapies. I would describe myself as a bright and fun person. I enjoy baking and being creative with sensory play activities and encouraging imaginitive play. I also enjoy outings and generally being outdoors.
My Experience
2021-present
I work full time in a private day nursery and a nursery nurse with children age 6 months - 5 years.
2017-2021:
I worked as a teaching assistant in a special needs primary school, with many children with autism as well as a variety of other special needs including global delay, speech and language challenges and genetic differences.
In a prior role, I worked for a childcare agency as a nursery assistant where I had regular work at nurseries in the area over a number of years.
Added to this I have volunteered in a small creche on a cover basis, with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. This involved creating a comfortable atmosphere in which the children felt confident and happy to stay and play.
Finally I have worked on children's teams at retreats where the ages of children ranges from toddlers to 12 years, providing activities for the children such as painting, treasure hunts, team games, ect.
My Qualifications
I have a first degree in psychology and a good variety of childcare experience.
