Hello, My name is Denise and I am an experienced Primary School Teacher specialising in English and ICT in KS1 and lower KS2 including Special Educational Needs.
I am a mum of 3 grown up children and I tutor one of my 3 grandsons who has moderate learning difficulties and spends a lot of time away from the school environment because of illness. I am a kind, patient and approachable teacher who puts the needs of her pupils first. I believe learning should be fun and enjoyable! Tutoring is a precious, child-centred time where each student can learn to develop to their full potential and increase their self-esteem.
My Experience
I am a primary school teacher with 16 years experience in Primary, teaching children from a wide range of cultural and economic backgrounds and abilities. I am currently working as a supply teacher in and around West Sussex and private tutoring.
My Qualifications
B.A. (Hons) English with Qualified Teacher Status.
Information & Communications Technology Level 8.
Advanced TEFL Qualification
My Availability
1-2-1 tuition in my home or yours - 1 hour lessons - from age 4-11yrs.
Available anytime by prior arrangement as I may be supply teaching. Also available evenings and weekends. I can be flexible.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £25.00 per hour
I like to make an assessment before i start teaching, to let the child see if they feel they can work with me; for this reason i like to have an initial assessment meeting for which i don't charge. It normally takes about half an hour and from here we can progress to working from lesson one.
I am willing to travel within 15 miles of Pulborough.
£25.00 per Hour at my home in Pulborough or £30.00 if I travel to you.
