My name is Sophie and I am a mother to three children. The thing I love most is spending time with my family.
I love being a nanny because you get to watch the children grow and develop. I feel the value you get from being apart of both my own children's development and that of the children I nanny can not be measured and it is this that has keeps me engaged everyday.
My Experience
I am an OFSTED registered nanny. I gained my NNEB qualification 24 years ago. In this time I have had a variety of roles in the childcare sector. I have worked in a school as a special needs assistant and in a nursery however for the last 21 years my I have worked as a nanny.
I have cared for children from new-born until 18. During my 21 years as a nanny I have also looked after a variety of different children including a child with Down syndrome and twins.

Sophie is very sociable and has brilliant local knowledge, being a local mum herself. Sophie is a regular fixture at baby groups, she gets out and about everyday, she has great early years knowledge and is great at taking the kids for a runaround in the play area of the park.
Children in her care will be well socialised and enjoy being out and about, making the most of their day.
Sophie also has great empathy for the shyer ones, and is well experienced with them, she is good at helping them feel comfortable in new surroundings. Sophie is a pragmatic, sensible, caring and helpful person who has loads of experience with children of all ages. She sets good boundaries; but knows how to have fun. She is not fazed by Mum's who are still breast feeding, something I felt awkward about with a new nanny, but she had great attitude towards it.
