About Me

I have been a professional nanny since 2011. Whilst growing up, my mother worked as a childminder and when she thought I was old enough I would often help her. I think that's where my love for nannying and children grew from.
I am a creative, active and outdoorsy person. I love to ski and play sports. In my free time I like to catch up with Friends and family, I have also been very lucky to have travelled Australia, South East Asia, Europe and South America. I have also worked in different countries, learning different cultures and adapting to my surroundings well. I know basic Spanish as well as English being my mother tongue. I am skilled in creating schedules, and maintaining routines. I also listen carefully and follow directions well. In my roles I am dedicated to helping to shape children into confident, intelligent and happy people who will carry those traits on into adulthood. I have recently been trained as a Maternity nurse and looking forward to begin in this role.

My Experience

I have worked in many different roles. From newborn twins up until young teens.
I have worked as a live in nanny, daily nanny. I also worked as a ROTA nanny, working 24/7, 2 weeks on/off. I have experience with different styles of Parenting, whether it’s baby led routine or a strict routine that is set in place. I have looked after children with allergies, such as cows milk and have attending many different classes and appointments. For example, baby massage.

My most recent role was short term, for the care of twins, boy and girl. Aged 4 months from time of starting. It was a mix of shared care and sole charge. I was in charge of all nursery duties, such as, laundry, sterilizing bottles, keeping the changing bag organized and making sure the baby areas were clean and safe. I would keep a diary of the day’s events, for example, how much milk they were taking, sleep times etc. The mother followed Gina Ford, with strict sleep and feeding routines. The twins were on different milks. The girl suffered from reflux and the boy had a cow’s milk allergy. I attended different appointments for the twins, including pediatrician, dermatologist and allergist appointments. The boy also had eczema and we had a strict skin care routine. I would also take the babies to classes such as, baby massage, physiotherapy and music class. I started the weaning, preparing the food and making batches to freeze. I would on ocassion do the night shift, sleeping in the room and maintaining their night time routine. Although I wasn’t there for a long period, I grew very fond of the twins and the family and still speak with them often.
