About Me
My name is Cheryl Nelson and I was an Outstanding registered childminder I stopped to go back to working in schools.
I have the added benefit of a 2:1 BA Honours degree in Sport, Health and Science with Qualified Teacher Status, which I studied at Trinity and All Saints college. I was a Foundation Stage Leader at Beecroft Primary School for 13 Years and we were judged Outstanding 4 consecutive times. I have a daughter called Ava who is 12. Who goes to St Margaret's Primary school and a daughter called Mya who is 6. I provide a warm, safe, friendly, service in which children feel valued, can play, learn and develop. Children will receive a lot of individual attention and alot of care and support. I appreciate that parents are the most important people in a child’s life and therefore consult with parents on all aspects of their child’s care. I am currently working with children with Special needs and teach in a resource provision for children with Autism.
My Experience
I have been a teacher for 13 years and a Foundation Stage Leader for 10. I Have had 4 Outstanding Ofsteds and absolutely loved teaching. I was a childminder for 3 years and have looked after babies from 3 months up to after school children. I currently teach in a resource provision.
My Qualifications
A 2:1 degree in Sport and Health with Qualified Teacher Status
My Availability
I am available for babysitting of any age children or tutoring from 4 to 8 years old. I am very flexible and am willing to adapt to whatever role a family wants or needs.
