About Me

I am a friendly person with a cheery positive nature, often described as outgoing and happy by friends and colleagues, I treat everyone as equals and ensure that I meet their individual needs and teamed with my NVQ 3 qualification and 16 years experience, these personality traits ensure I bring, to the job, not only my excellent qualifications but a positive can-do approach in the hope of being a fantastic asset to the families I work with. I have an up to date DBS (CRB) check, have a full/ clean UK driving license and can provide references on request.
I always give 100% in everything I do, and enter new challenges with an open mind. I take pride in my appearance and I am organised, tidy and take my responsibilities seriously. I pride myself on being very reliable to my employers.
I have got 2 children...both boys aged 6 years an 4 months, I feel that having had children myself gives me the the caring, loving and cuddly mummy side that I put into my role as a nanny.

My Experience

March 2015 - August 2018
Sole charge - 2 children

I started this Job as a full time nanny 40 hours per week caring for 2 beautiful children a boy 10 months at the time an a girl who was 3, I also took my 2 year old boy with me at the time.
Again another Job caring for 3 young children, which I just loved! We had a lot of fun together over the 3 years! I always had activities planned either at home or out and about, keeping them all entertained an happy, with lots of little learning opportunities as we went about our days... also had to take the children to their swimming lessons each week. I cooked and did general nursery duties, washing and ironing for this family.
The role dropped to part time as the eldest went to school and the youngest starting pre-school. By this time my son started school too.
I fell pregnant in this role Jan 2018 which was perfect as the role was ending Sep 2018 with their youngest starting school full time.
This was a lovely nanny role an I became very close to this family an we continue to stay in touch

Whilst I was working for this family, a family member of theirs recommended me to a family that were struggling for help with their youngest whilst their Eldest daughter was in Bristol children’s hospital having treatment for a brain tumour... I met with the mother an she was keen an happy for me to take their little girl for a couple of days or a few hours here an there to give them a break an so they could concentrate on their poorly girl. The family were from Brighton, they put all their trust in me to look after their child and I felt very humbled by this.... I took the little girl to my house to play, to the park and little walks to keep her entertained. This little role lasted for a few weeks until they returned home.

Nov 2017 - July 2018
Sole charge - 2 children

I was approached by this family when their current nanny left suddenly... I worked part time for this family fitting round the current role you see above.
A friend of mine used to nanny for them so when I said I could help they were very happy as they said they already new me as a reliable, caring nanny.... A mainly cared for their youngest boy during the day but did school runs either end of the day for his big sister. I cooked for the family, picked up things needed from the shops and did some house work for them too.

April 2013 - Feb 2015
Sole charge - 2 children

I worked 33 hours term time only for this family, I took my little boy with me too meaning I had 2 10month old babies to care for an a 3 year old... I loved this role and all the exciting things/activities I did with the children, it was a challenge with 3 young children but I really did enjoy every minute. We enjoyed trips to the park and zoo, toddler groups, home activities, and friends houses to play with other children similar ages.
I did some light house work for the family an prepared healthy meals and snacks through out the week including an evening meal for all the family.
The role came to an end as the children grew the family no longer needed a full time nanny.

February 2010-April 2013
Sole charge - 3 children

I currently work for a lovely family of 5, they have 3 beautiful girls aged 3,5 and 7 years, I have cared for the girls since they were 4 months, 2 years and 4 years old. I was working full time 50 hours a week, flexibly to meet the needs of their working week. I am often there from the time the girls wake up to the time I put them to bed. Some of my daily roles and responsibilities include, preparing and cooking meals for the whole family, ironing, and general tidying of the house. Mainly providing fun and stimulating activities both inside and outside the home, including planning social and educational day trips.
After 4 months maternity leave I returned to this family, with my son, working 24 hours per week. I have a great relationship with both the parents and the children. I have enjoyed being part of their family and with the job coming to a natural end will be sad to leave.

November 2008 – February 2010
Sole Charge Nanny, 1 child

I joined this family in November 2008, this being my first nanny job. I cared for a little girl who was aged 10 months at commencement of post. We had an excellent relationship and enjoyed many fun and educational activities together.
I prepared and cooked all meals every day for her ensuring she has her 5 a day, also ironing and general nursery duties. I enjoyed building up an excellent rapport with the parents and the child, which I believe to be very important working in a close family environment. Both parents had high powered jobs which required me to be flexible and on call throughout each month.

August 2003 – November 2008
Senior Nursery Nurse at Leapfrog Day Nursery, Bradley Stoke, Bristol

During my time at Leapfrog Day Nursery I worked my way from a modern apprentice to senior nursery nurse. Here I gained the skills and knowledge which has enabled me to be a successful nanny. I also benefited from being able to complete many courses whilst working in the nursery.
This gave me invaluable experience working within a team and with parents, holding parents consultation evenings. I regularly met with parents to discuss their child’s individual needs and to reassure them of their development socially and educationally.
I developed good rapport with staff, parents and the children. My professional development has been encouraged which enabled me to become a senior nursery nurse.
