About Me
My name is SaraJane and I am an ofsted registered Childminder. I hold an outstanding grading from ofsted. I feel very lucky to be a part of children's learning journey. My ambition as a childminder is to provide a high quality childcare which supports all children to reach their full potential.
My home is a very happy and busy one. I live with my partner, 3 month old and 7 year old daughter. My partner has a 8 year old son; he mainly comes and spends time with us at weekends. My children are really looking forward to welcoming new children into our home!
My home environment is always organised, clean, safe and secure for young children, and all parts of my home I childmind in.
My garden has been purposely landscaped and is very child friendly. I believe outdoor play is vital for young children's development and alot of time is spent playing and learning outside.
I believe strongly in children learning through play. I offer and encourage children to take part in a wide range of fun, high quality play activities (which follow the EYFS) to help them learn and develop well. Most activities I plan to do will follow children's interests.
I want all children to feel happy and safe when in my home and I work closely with all parents to help give their child the best start in life.
My Experience
I have worked with children since I left school; it is all I have ever wanted to do.
I have a wealth of childcare experience which I am excited to put into practise within my home environment.
I have worked in a private day nursery and an afterschool/holiday club: working with children from the the age of 4 months old up until 11 years old.
I have worked with children who have special needs and additional health requirements, such as diabetes. So I feel quite happy to care for children in my home who may have additional needs.
I have been childminding now for 3 years and have cared for a range of children aged 5 months to 4 years.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 Diploma in childcare and education and a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies.
I am Ofsted registered, first aid qualified, CRB cleared (so is my partner), safeguarding trained and have undertaken a home-based childcare course.
My Availability
I currently have full and part time places available, termtime and school holidays.
I can offer 2,3 and 4 year old government funded childcare places.

My hourly rate is £4. ( this includes healthy morning and afternoon snacks and wetwipes and nappies)

I am always grateful that we found SarahJane….my daughter did not like nursery, nor other childminders!
We were both so glad when we found her, from the moment my little girl met her, they hit it off straight away. SarahJane has a natural ability with children, she is loving & attentive and very creative in her delivery of learning through play, managing to tune in to the child’s interests very well. My daughter was always happy to get there and sad to leave….!
My little girl is very quiet and sensitive and under SarahJane’s care she has blossomed in to a confident, happy chatterbox. I really believe that the preschool care and learning journey that SarahJane gave my child was very important in giving her the building blocks which she needed at that age. The informative diaries and learning journey were really helpful as well.
My daughter is now in year one at school and I can see that the lessons she learnt at SarahJanes about interacting with other children, being kind and helping others….
My daughter has maintained her friendship with SarahJane and loves to have little meet ups from time to time, laughing and reminiscing…..
You will not regret choosing SarahJane.

We were so lucky to find Sarajane, our daughter just loves her. Sarajane goes the extra mile to love, care for and teach you child all they need to give them the best start. I love the home from home enviroment which our daughter needed as she didn't like nursery. You will not regret choosing sarajane

I must have deleted several different attempts to write this review as it is difficult to put into words how grateful and thankful we are for all Sarah-Jane has done for our daughter. From the very start she welcomed her into her home and made her feel comfortable and safe. Each morning our daughter would rush from the car to the house and she would be reluctant to leave in the evenings, wanting to stay as she was having so much fun. Everything our daughter did was recorded in a regular diary and provided us with plenty of smiles. Alongside this was her learning journey, it was fantastic to look at with lots of pictures and written descriptions about what she had been doing.
We can without doubt say that we fully recommend Sarah-Jane to anybody looking for someone to care for, nurture and educate their child during the most important time in their life.
Don’t take our word for it; go meet her and I’m sure you will agree!
