I was interested in putting my son here until a friend told me it had an inadequate Ofsted. I decided to look for myself to form my own opinion but was shocked to discover 2 inadequate Ofsted’s within 6 months AND a complaint. As a mother I found this really concerning as a main issue seemed to be safeguarding and no key person for children? I feel parents have a right to know where they put there children as I would never have thought about checking Ofsted until my friend told me.

I am sure a reveiw is when you have had experience with the service involved not hear say from a friend....
As we all know what’s going on here yet again.this will be dealt with accordingly.
Rang the number on the profile to arrange a viewing of the nursery and I am disgusted at the lack of customer service on the phone. The girl who answered was not professional at all and did not even answer with her name or the name of the company, I had to ask. Then she passed the phone to her 'manager' who answered in the same way. They were laughing on the phone too. Would never take my children here after that. God knows what they are like in person.

My daughter is with Amanda for almost 2 years. As working doctors in NHS it was very difficult to continue our career without the kind help of Amanda. She always goes an extra mile and very flexible. Sometimes she accommodates looking for my other kid. The setting is great, and the staff are friendly, my children love it. I have no concerns whatever regarding Amanda or children4us. If you look for a trustful, understanding and professional child caring, Amanda's is the one, you will never be let down.

we have been with Amanda for over one and half year now. she made us feel comfortable, and addressed our concerns from the first day. being working parents in the NHS with long and unpredictable working hours is rather stressful. So, nurseries with the stress of rushing to get the kids, and having to pay ridiculous penalty fees was not an option for us. she expresses the willingness to do what ever we meed from extended hours, overnight care and weekend care, which was invaluable for us . if you are looking for reliable, trustworthy and flexible care for your kids, Amanda is the answer. I am so happy I found Amanda and her staff, my daughter loves going! All we have to say to her in the morning that she is going and the coat is on and she is ready waiting. They are great with her. She has come along so much since I decided to use Childcare 4 Us. Always well fed and happy when we pick her up (sometimes to the point where she isn’t interested in going home). The staff are great, and they always tell you what the little ones have done during the day. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be looking after my daughter.

I visited Children4us childcare with my children and was impressed with the staff and children there, whilst we were there.
My children were asked if they wanted to join in whilst I was shown around the different rooms and outdoor area where children were watering plants, they had muddy kitchens, sand and water play, and other outdoor equipment which children were able to choose, they were all happy in their environment,
I was shown what they did during the day, what they ate there was a lady in the kitchen cooking a hot meal for the children,.
I was given polices and procedures to read through, I was there when a parent came to pick their child up and was told what there child had done all day, when they had, had a nap, nappy changes this was all documented down on a daily diary sheet, there was a register which parent and staff signed children in and out which was evident as this parent had signed and I also had signed the visitors book.
There is a menu clearly showing in the reception area for the week what’s for snacks (healthy options) what is for meals which covered vegetarians and different cultures what was impressive was it was the same meal just in different options to cater for all the children’s needs, the menus are changed weekly to give a variety and i was shown the last 2 months previously so I could see the variety of meals which were given.
Children have a journal which clearly shows all that they do and covers all areas of the early years curriculum with observations to track their development and next steps. And any concerns of development, which is evident through photographs and written documentation.
Staff were warm and welcoming to both my children and myself.
My children didn’t want to leave needless to say I have signed up!
My children have already asked are they going tomorrow!
I am very pleased and relieved that I have found Children4us Childcare it’s exactly how you want to feel as a parent and i am also a teacher,
they are also reasonably priced and flexible with shift work and working families I highly recommend them.
You will not be disappointed.

I was very interested in putting my daughter in to this setting until I did my research. It doesn’t mention the fact that it has a 1star food hygiene rating (see Scores on the doors website) and an inadequate Ofsted. The safeguarding concerns raised were very concerning so I will be looking elsewhere. There are more important things to me than being on the doorstep.

Thank you for your review, this is unfounded and in factual you have no daughter, not understanding why this review being put on but to damage our reputation.
My son was in the care of Amanda for 3.5 years and to start with everything was great.
There were two occasions where my son was left at school and I was receiving calls from school to ask who was picking my child up!
Amanda both times had an excuse for this (running late)
When the new premises opened everything went down hill. Another 2 occasions in 6 months my son was not collected from school and blame was put (by Amanda) on to her staff!
The school my son attends was also blamed as they 'have always disliked her' (her own words) On these occasions I had to arrange for someone else to collect my son but no refund was recieved for the service that was not provided!
My son disliked going in the last few months complaining there was nothing to do and no space to play.
You pay extra for meals. A hot meal is what I was told they would provide but more often than not sandwiches were what the children were given.
On the Thursday 21st Feb of half term I was sent a text to say there would be no school pick ups or drop offs for an unknown period of time. As payment is made on the first of the month for the month ahead I had already paid for the next week. I have still not received a refund for this paid week!
My son is now happy elsewhere.
Just take a look at the Ofsted rating!

Your child loved coming everyday day even after school sometimes asked why he had to leave when having fun,
You have never made a formal complaint so to decide to put this review unfounded but we know what is going on,
Again thank you
My daughter has been going here since she was 1 1/2 and is now nearly 6 she has settled nicely and enjoys her time when she’s there
Amanda and her staff have been really accommodating due to my work and short notice will collect her from school
No concerns for looking after my child

It’s never easy going off to work in the morning and leaving my babies behind, but knowing they’re going off to this lovely setting with amazing staff certainly makes it easier. I think the children have come on leaps and bounds since they have been coming here and I think the excellent communication and team work between staff and us as parents, has really helped us with some of my sons more challenging behavioural needs. I really cannot thank you all enough for taking such good care of my two treasures!
