Absolutely not Promising

Would have given a ZERO Star rating, if there was an option. Lots of promising emails and messages to look after our 6 year old over the weekend. Soon after the very first weekend, decided to triple the price, which was not the agreed rate as per her email confirmation in Black & White and Invoice. We personally think she is very reliable and is straight forward. When questioned, came up with lots of excuses and suggested us to use different services if we cannot afford the new rate.. All in all a very bad experience and warn all parents to be mindful.

I am sorry you felt that way.

First, you have never shown any commitment for regular use of my service. You were very vague and reluctant to fix any future appointments. My understanding was that my service may OR may not be used again hence the decision of free commitment from both sides.

Second, the first weekend (and last) was supposed to be a trial weekend and your wife (who was the one to attend the initial meeting) consented to that. This means that I have never given you a final promise for long term service and I am, as a self-employed business, entitled to do so.

Third, I did not triple the price or even ask you to pay the extras that I had to pay for your daughter from my own pocket. I simply told you that I am no longer able to provide childcare for your daughter meaning that the trial was not to your favour as I could see that you were already not abiding by our agreements.
Our agreement was that if you were not to pay for dinner, you have to provide your child with the food she was actually willing to eat, not the food you were hoping that I could FORCE her to eat. We don't force-feed children here. And since we can't keep a child hungry at our premises I had to cook two lunches and two dinners, specifical for your child as mum said she doesn't want her child to eat junk food (which what my family and I eat usually). The same goes with the desert that came mushy and rotten. As you know, soft fruit such as berries don't keep very well. These meals and snacks I had to cater for and the cost was never reimbursed neither did I even request reimbursement.
You have agreed that I take your child to workshops and buy her things in the street but you never offered to pay the extra charges.
You came very late to pick up your child and you were acting rude, shouting at your daughter in our presence to wear her shoes instead of putting her shoes on her yourself since you could well see she was very sleepy.
I wasn't able to prepare her beforehand because you were extremely late and her shoes were taken off after I put them on her. And also because I went to get you her things from the kitchen.

So, as you could see, there were many reasons why it was not a good idea for us to continue working together.
I am sure you found a better nanny by now and I wish your daughter the best of luck.

lovely teachers but lacking in commitment

I pre arranged for my daughter to have English and maths tuition and was told that Saturdays was the only day available and having taken my 5 year old daughter on Saturday as agreed and making the payment I was later messaged to state that the agreed hours were no longer suitable. I'm quite disappointed as I have wasted valuable time and money and am back to square one.

Dear customer,

I am sorry that this is how you feel about what happened. I can assure you that if you have explained before hand that you are not flexible, I would not have booked you in. The 2pm slot you were given was intended for initial assessment but further discussion was required to establish our availabilities. I have since offered you a 10 am starting time on Saturday because that is the only realistic time for us to tutor your daughter but you declined.

Regarding the fee you paid, even though we charge £15 per hour for primary level, regardless on whether it is a lesson or an initial contact, your daughter received a whole hour and a half of tuition. She was not only tested but also tutored in maths and English.

A good learning in a nice environment

My kids like a lot to do the lessons with Joanna and Vicky. They learn lots of things , they are more confident at school, made significant progress . Im very happy like a parent with the services of Sophia15.

Excellent teacher

My daughter does piano and English with Sonia's daughters, very pleased with the progress she made. My son has one hour to catch up on English and making a good progress too. He is getting more confident for his upcoming sats. Definitely recommend.

Headiing for a good GCSE grade

Sonia has been tutoring my daughter (now in Y9) in French for about a year. Prior to tutoring I think daughter would have been heading to just about manage to pass GCSE French. Now I'm much more confident that she'll not just pass but pass with an excellent grade. Sonia is very thorough and an excellent teacher. Daughter is very happy that she now finds school French lessons are no longer difficult.

Amazing team

Jessica is very energetic child and is loosing interest very easily in activity`s and things and it is been so hard to help her to concentrate with homework, and my lack of time and patience did not help at all. When I took her for tuition she didn't want to leave and always it is the same, they are an amazing team, Joanna is a very smart and talented girl, they are so patient and so kind. The way they teach is so simple and clear and are motivating Jessica through all kind of methods. She takes piano lessons as well and she love it. I love it, and I have a piece of mind knowing she receives a higher level of education than I could ever give her. I totally recommend them and the prices are affordable taking in consideration that is one to one lesson and Jessica concentrates more.
