Childminder Review

Mary is a very professional childminder, we had no concerns whatsoever while she was looking after our two daughters aged 2 and 4 years between September 2011 and April 2012.

She is a very relaxed person herself, and it is amazing how much information she can gather on your children and their home routine just with pure observation and listening. She is able and flexible to adapt to changes in childcare respectively, according to children’s/ families’ needs. Her communication skills are outstanding, her handovers are safe. She is very organised, even managed to organise school pickup in a nursery and two primary schools, when our older daughter attended her sessions. She encourages homework and writes into school logbooks. She cookes a wide variety of delicious meals and caters for special diets. Her beautiful home is very spacious. Our girls enjoyed the playrooms and the dining area on the ground floor, the privacy and isolation from the play area while having their afternoon nap in one of the upstairs bedroom, and the play in the very well equipped garden with a beautiful view to the countryside. They also enjoyed soft play at Walby Farmpark and at other places in Carlisle, playgroup sessions and visits at childminders. My little daughter, who was looked after by Mary 4 days a week, now joyfully remembers that she used to enjoy playing at Mary’s house, now adding on that she has been enjoying the sessons at her new childminder’s home in Seaham.
