My little girl first came to Kate after the first lockdown when she was around 16 months. She had only been looked after by me for the previous six months so I was expecting it to take a while for her to settle. From the first day we met in the park, Kate's calm and reassuring manner put her immediately at ease and we've never looked back. Kate does lovely things every day and my little one comes back beaming from her day. She plays in Kate's mud kitchen, spends lots of time outside in the woods and does lots of painting and creating. Kate gives detailed accounts of her day and her milestones which are so lovely to read. Kate comes highly recommended, I really couldn't have hoped for post lockdown childcare to feel safer, easier and more reassuring than Kate.

Kate childminded for my 12-month old for three days a week for several months (until Covid-19 very sadly put a spanner in the works). She made sure that both he and I were comfortable with her and the setting, and she greatly reduced the worries I was having about returning to work and leaving him in childcare. He clearly enjoyed his every day with her, he would go off to play in the mornings with a big smile for her and without looking back at us and would come home a happy and tired boy, having experienced lots of new and fun things. Kate clearly nurtured him and took care to report on things she knew I worried about – whether he had eaten much, slept enough, etc. His development came on in leaps and bounds in the short time he was with her - and so I know she had an eye out for this - and his confidence expanded. Kate is relaxed but organised in her approach and the children she cares for always seem very comfortable and happy. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a home-from-home for their little one.

I would highly recommend Kate to anyone looking to feel at ease that their little one is being left in the safest hands.
The atmosphere in her house is just so nice, the moment you arrive they feel at home and tinker off to go and play with some of the many toys, games and entertainment available. I was so happy about the cleanliness and tidiness which make a perfect environment for toddlers to learn and play.
Our daughter learnt so much whilst there, and her development came on so much which was amazing and she just loved the little crew there (and the 2 cats!)
She had lots of lovely outings and did loads of art and craft activities, she always came home happy and tired !
Couldn't recommend more.

Our son loves Kate and looks forward to going to hers. He is now two and a half and has been with her since he was only 11 months old. Kate has nurtured and taken care of him for three days a week. She is caring, nurturing and stimulating, thanks to her teaching experience. Kate keeps us up to date with our son's developmental stages and makes sure children have age appropriate toys, activities and environment to stimulate their little brains. Whether the weather is good or horrible, Kate goes the extra mile to make sure our son goes out to some interesting place, from soft play or play groups during the winter to fun filled outdoor activities such as visiting the farm, parks or seafront when the weather is good... and of course we never get enough of those texts of funny pictures and videos of my son playing and having fun during the day. What could be more refreshing in the midst of a busy day at work? Kate has been flexible and fantastic with my daughters’ random school pickups as well. Kate’s is a home away from home, our son is very happy and that gives us as parents great peace of mind. Happy toddler- happy mum and dad!

My daughter started going to Kate when she was 18 months old and has been comfortable from the start. This was a huge relief for me and meant I could return to work with no worries and knowing my daughter was in safe hands. My daughter asks to go to Kate's each morning and I am so happy with the care that Kate provides, which is a calm, nurturing, and creative environment. I have seen my daughter blossom there and it feels like a second home for her. I couldn't recommend Kate highly enough.

My son loves spending time with Kate! He goes home with her after school twice a week and feels like its a genuine home from home. There are so many games and activities that he can choose from, and she often takes her mindees to the park after school which he loves.
As a parent, I find Kate to be warm, reassuring and genuinely lovely. I have no hesitation in recommending her to others.

Kate is an excellent childminder. Our son started with Kate just as he turned 1. He started with a couple of mornings and built up to being with Kate for 3 days.
Kate is caring, kind, intuitive, nurturing and great fun for the kids. Our son is so excited to go every day he’s worn her. We know he’s in safe hands but she has also been amazing at accelerating his development with the EYFS. Kate’s experience as a teacher makes her setting above and beyond any others we’ve experienced. The activities are varied, engaging, fun, with lovely take home work and surprises for us parents!
Kate has been flexible with our needs and always helpful with every situation.
We couldn’t recommend her more highly enough.

Our son was about 21 months when he started with Kate two mornings a week. He walked into her flat quite happily the first day and had a great time. He was always happy to go there and felt comfortable. We also felt comfortable in Kate's home, and were very happy with the care she provided. She has a lovely play shed at the end of the garden, and she sent us some lovely pictures of our son drawing at home, or playing in the park with her other children.

My son started going to Kate's when he was 23 months old. He immediately settled well with her.
She has a range of really good fun, educational and sensory toys. And different spaces for the children to play, with a garden for outdoor play. She is really good at taking the children out and about, seafront, soft play, paddling pools etc. The kids have so much fun and learn so much from her.
Kate's background in education is so obvious as she is creative in how she plans learning, arts and crafts. She really supported my son, a late talker, by teaching him to express himself using sign language, and she supported me in learning simple sign language and getting Speech and Language interventions in place for him. She did all this with school years in mind. She really understands children and tracks children's EYFS well.
She is personable; really lovely.
I recommend Kate!!
