Lovely caring childminder

I recently joined my 10 month old daughter with Debbie and her assistants and I am extremely happy with everything they have done for her so far! She has seemed to settle well and after picking her up today after only her 3rd week she had learnt new things like waving hello and goodbye! They are so accommodating and I can rest at work knowing she is well looked aftered! Pictures are sometimes sent to me which is a lovely little touch also! Thank you Debbie and girls :)

I couldn't wish for a better childminder

I couldn't wish for a better childminder for my 22 months old son.
He has been looked after by Debbie since he was 14months old. Her caring and loving attitude towards him made him to setttle very easily in her care. He is having so much fun that he throws tantrums every time when I am picking him up.
Debbie is making sure that kids in her care do have a variety of activities including: soft plays, playgroups, baking / coooking, messy plays, playgrounds, art work, reading etc.
It was very important to me to make sure that my son feels very much like at home at his childminder's and that is what Debbie provides. It makes me feel less guilty that I am going to work and leaving my son behind.
She is very hepful, flexible and open to suggestions / changes to the routines .
She is very carefull about dietary requirements of my son.
I am expecting another baby soon and if my financial circumstances allow me to, I would love Debbie to take care of my baby as well.

a really good childminder

i was very pleased with this childminder. a very happy homley environment for my child to be in. he has been so happy with her that he no longer says goodbye in the mornings just runs in to play. he has come home with messy play pictures for me and my husband. i highly recommend this childminder as this environment is perfect for a child to be looked after.

Very disappointing

Very disappointed with this childminder. She agreed to look after my son Charlie from September 2012, after 3 days of caring for him she told me someone she used to care for has to return as mother decided to go back to work & so she had to let Charlie go.

Disgraceful as I don't think that reason is good enough, understandable she knew this child from a young age but this person should be looking for a new child minder. If Charlie wasn't settling then that would be fine but utterly disgraceful after just three days! Also would like to add my little boy was filthy when I picked him up that day looked like he'd been eating grass! She could have at least wiped his face before I picked him up and I did provide a change of clothes!!

I am very upset by the above comment from this parent! I had to make a decision based on a child I was already caring for & have cared for since since she was 6months old! A parent came to me & asked me to then take care of her baby brother also . I had only had the new child 3 days & he hadn't settled yet, although I did all in my power to help him to settle & cared for him like he was my own as I do with all the children I care for. I decided for the safety of the children in my care i could not continue . I did not know I was going to be asked to have the sibling of the other child in my care until the week I had already started with the new child! Therefore I had a tough decision to make & did all I could to help this parent by offering alternative days & even refunding remaining money unused (which I did not have to do!!)I did not expect the reaction i got from this parent in my own home & around other children in my care!!
