Cheryl is an amazing childminder who really gets to know you and your child. This isn’t just a job to her - it’s a way of being. She clearly adores every child in her care, and I know my son has loved every second spent with her.
My son started with Cheryl just under 1 year, and is now nearly 2. Throughout, Cheryl has been responsive and answered any developmental or other questions with authority and insight. She absolutely knows her stuff - and is so friendly and approachable, I would ask her a lot! I also really appreciated the regular photos, videos and updates during the day, and I will cherish many of these for years to come.
We’ve moved away, and leaving Cheryl was one of the hardest parts of the move.
If you want first class childcare in a loving, supportive, family environment: Cheryl is perfect.

Thank you Emma for your lovely words. I wish you all the very best. Your little man will be sorely missed by me and his pals.
Our little boy has been with Cheryl since he was 18 months old, leaving this year to make the big step up to pre-school at the age of 3. He has come so far in his development, behaviour and social skills from being with Cheryl - she is fantastic with children, and shows us daily what progress he is making in a carefully handwritten diary as well as doing termly progress updates.
They all get up to so many great activities together and we have loved receiving photos throughout the day of our little boy. Anything we ask she is always responsive and no question is too silly or too small.
She has helped with potty training, eating and also with general advice based on her many years of experience. Her methods of ensuring good behaviour are great and respect the child as well as helping them understand why it's wrong.
Our little boy is always in such a good routine from her and she encourages naps in a supportive and caring way, so that he is still reliably napping at 3.
We will miss Cheryl, and I know Gregory will too, but we hope to stay in touch!

Thank you, Tania. We are gradually adjusting to missing our little man. The other children are beginning to understand that he has moved on, but I’m sure they’ll keep asking after him for a long while yet. Good luck for your new routines next month.
My daughter Isla was extremely shy and we soon realised nursery wasn't for her. I was very nervous about moving her to a childminder but I have to say as soon as I met Cheryl I knew Isla would be ok and actually more than ok, she flourished.
Cheryl is a true gem and really understood Isla's personality and needs very quickly. She also understood our worries from nursery and made sure we were sent regular updates and provided a lovely book of the things she got up to and learnt in the day.
A wonderful, kind lady who taught Isla so much and who we will really miss!!

My little boy has been with Cheryl for nearly a year (he has been with her since he was only 4 mths old) and is with her 3 full days per week. When looking for a Childminder, we met several before Cheryl but were being indecisive but once we met her, we had absolutely no doubt that she 'was the one' and snapped her up quickly and we feel so grateful and blessed that we found her.
He settled in with her much quicker than I ever imagined and he absolutely loves her and her family - he is looked after as if he is one of the family and when I bring him there in the mornings, his face lights up without fail each and every time he see's Cheryl. He also comes home a happy boy every day and really enjoys his time there.
Cheryl keeps us up to date every day with lovely photos and activities via Whatsapp which is so lovely so we get to see all the cool fun and educational things that he gets up when he is there and we get a diary log at the end of every day which details what he has eaten, nappy situations and what he has been up to throughout the day - we love reading this when we get home after picking him up! His physical, emotional and mental development are all advanced for his age and I definitely credit a lot of that to his time with Cheryl.
Have a read of her Ofsted report which is rated outstanding - I can 100% confirm that her report is truly reflective of her and her childminding practices and procedures and she is definitely worthy of the highest outstanding grade.
Cheryl is friendly, reliable, knowledgeable, trustworthy and she is a superb childminder. We wouldn't change her for the world!

We had the privilege of finding Cheryl using childcare.co.uk and thank goodness we did. She has looked after Valentino for 17 months and in that time he has grown in confidence due to the love and care that Cheryl provided. Both my wife and I work in education and it was pleasing to see from the outset that Cheryl had a real sense of commitment to ensuring Valentino had a real breadth to his learning and his experiences. What we loved the most was the sense of family that Cheryl created in her own home instilling family values, respect, manners and good personal hygiene into the children she cared for. Valentino loved going to her house, especially the days he would visit one of the toddler groups or go on an exciting adventure. Both my wife and I thoroughly recommend Cheryl. She is an amazing/outstanding child-minder and recommend her unreservedly.

Cheryl took care of our daughter three afternoons a week from January 2015 until just a few weeks ago (the arrangement came to an end due to relocation) she is a fantastic childminder, and both myself and my husband would recommend her unreservedly . Professional, kind, reassuring and caring are just some of her lovely attributes. Leaving my daughter to return to work was made so much easier with the knowledge that she was in a safe and caring environment. The set up is great and children's personalities are clearly celebrated and nurtured in Cheryls care, there is such a sense of purpose and fun in the learning environment and activities are planned to support all aspects of development.Cheryl is always aware of next steps to support the on going development in all areas and my daughter really flourished in her care. The communication from Cheryl was always excellent which helps so much when leaving your precious charges for the first time! . We will miss cheryl and her family a lot, but are very greatful for the time our daughter got to spend in her care, and for all of the hard work, cheryl definitely goes above and beyond. Many many thanks!

I needed a one off baby sitter for my 2 year old son and found Cheryl. After only one day I was so impressed with her care, her lovely personality and her back garden that I asked Cheryl to watch my boy once a week. I hope to increase his time there when she has another day available. Xo

Cheryl is currently looking after our 14 month old daughter, 5 days a week.
When we initially contacted Cheryl in early 2013, we found her warm, friendly and approachable, with an empathetic and realistic understanding of how hard (emotionally and logistically) it can be to find someone to care for your child when returning to work.
Settling in sessions were arranged for our daughter (who was four and a half months at the time) to enable her to get to know Cheryl and the other minded children. The first time leaving our daughter with Cheryl was daunting and heartbreaking, but regular texts and updates throughout the morning put us very much at ease!
Cheryl finds numerous activities and outings for all children in her care, completing a daily journal which is filled with a record of the day, and often has a homemade surprise inside (which is always lovely)
We have also relied upon Cheryl's daughter for babysitting, and we would highly recommend her services to give you a rare parents night off.
When we encountered a change in personal circumstances, Cheryl has been flexible, reliable and understanding and we will always be grateful for this, and we know that we can approach her to ask any questions regarding our daughters care with an honest answer formed from years of experience.
Overall, a child in Cheryl's care is extremely well looked after and a part of her extended family, we hope that Cheryl will care for our further children in the future as we can not imagine a better place for them to spend their days.

After searching for ages and visiting lots of childminders we were starting to worry we would never find anyone to look after our little boy Zac. Cheryl was then recommended to us by 2 different people. As soon as we met her we knew why and knew she was the one. She offered a clean homely environment with lots of resources and a great garden. The children she cared for seemed happy and content and Zac settled straight away.
Zac was always happy to go to Cheryl, a clear sign that he was settled and receiving great care. Cheryl and her family are lovely and Zac was made to feel part of it. Zac started at Cheryl's when he was 9 months old and we watched him blossom into a confident little boy. He developed so well at Cheryl's and we feel that Cheryl has played a huge part in the way he has turned out. We felt confident that the care Zac received was always of the highest standard and we really believe you wouldn't be able to find anyone as good as her.
Cheryl is a very professional childminder and offers safe and secure childcare. She ensures that she meets the Early Years Foundation Stage and we feel that she has provided Zac with the right knowledge and skills to start school next year. She does this in a fun and exciting way and always engages the children. We were always kept informed of Zac's development with the daily diary she wrote. The diary provided us with an insight into what Zac was doing and we always looked forward to reading it when he returned home.
We have and would definitely recommend Cheryl as a childminder and be confident that she would give your child the best care available.

Cheryl has looked after our youngest daughter Lotta since she was a year old. She was recomended to me by another childminder who had looked after our son previously.
When I went to visit Cheryl in her warm family home I felt comfortable that my child would be part of that household. My husband and I didn't want Lotta to be in a nursary setting as she was so young. We felt we wanted her to have the benefit of 1 person looking after her, rather than a constantly changing group of nursary employees. Therefore I was looking for a professional childminder, with a loving and stable family in the background. Cheryl has forfilled this ideal without doubt.
I have always felt very comfortable and grateful that my child should be part of such a nurturing envoronment. Whilst being with Cheryl, Lotta has also had the benefit of spending time with a lot of positive roll models in Cheryl's own daughters, one of which also provides us with a reliable babysitting service.
Apart from providing this nurturing and stable background Cheryl has been constantly reliable, always flexable and brilliantly bright and cheerful throughout our working relaitionship. I have been hugely impressed with her ability to remain professional and structured, whilst juggling daily tasks like the school run, with having fun with the children. Outings to the Herbert Art Gallery and Kenilworth Castle have been especially appreciated.
She also provides a strong educational start for the children, following the Ofsted guidelines in terms of tasks for the children and informal learning time. The daily dairy she keeps for Lotta has always kept us up to date with what Lotta has been doing whilst we were at work, and will also be a lovely keepsake for Lotta in the future.
My daughter now 4 has just started school and we are missing Cheryl ever so much!
