Big let down

I employed Emily in good faith for my position, she seemed happy with all aspects of it, and we welcomed her into the family. In her first week, she said she was sick. I gave her all the time off she needed to get better. Ready to start afresh on Monday morning.
On Sunday at 10 o clock at night, she text me to say she had another job, very sorry etc etc. I was completely taken aback by her attitude, the fact that she was off sick with a new job, but clearly going for interviews with other families whilst off, was shocking.
I was completely aghast at her complete lack of consideration and respect, and being so untruthful.
Needless to say her letting me down so badly caused me a huge amount of worry and expense at very short notice.
I was totally taken in by how charming and lovely she seemed to be, but was shocked to the core at how she behaved in the end.

This was not how this was and I’m always very considerate with all my employers I’ve had will say different and how very much reliable I am ( hence me having such long term jobs nannying) at the time something with more hours came up as this was never enough hours like I had already said to start with.
