Our Childcare Provision

The Phoenix School is a small friendly independent pre-school and primary school situation midway between Cottenham and Wilburton.

Our ethos is to develop well-rounded individuals who love learning and achieve their academic, physical and creative potential.

We are looking to expand - with places now available across most years.

Our class sizes are small (no more than 12)
We build children's confidence in themselves alongside academic achievement.
We offer a 'home from home' environment, easing the transition from nursery or home to school
Children enjoy weekly dance, music, drama and French taught by specialists

We can also help with the practicalities of daily life:

* Younger siblings can join from the age of 3 on the same site
* School clubs run on-site before school from 8am and after school until 6pm
* A minibus with flexibility on the route taken
* We offer Early Years Funding (up to 15 hours) and accept Employer Childcare vouchers.

Fantastic caring Learning Enviroment

5 stars

Having run my own childcare business for the last 18 years I found it very difficult looking for a setting for my three year old son, however when I visited the Phoenix school it stood out by far from other settings I visited, party due to the structured days and the level of caring quality teaching that I observed by qualified teachers.
My Son has come on a lot in a short time and is now a lot more confident. he is being kept busy all day with fantastic learning opportunities, he gets to take part in singing, drama, P.E. french, and yoga classes along with regular assemblies, as well as learning to read, write and improve his maths skills whilst having lots of fun.
He loves attending the Phoenix School and often asks if he can go at the weekends.

We love the Phoenix - our daughter does too!

5 stars

We can't speak highly enough of this school. Our daughter has been here since age 3 and has thrived on the personalised tuition you can only get from a school this small and focused on each individual child. As well as the education, everything is set up to make the Phoenix accessible: early hours and after hours care, and a school minibus service picking up not just in the local area but from Girton, Northstowe, Bar Hill and Cambourne. (The kids love the bus and the driver!)

The school takes the full range of government funding and tax incentives to help with fees (we use both Early Years Funding Scheme and Childcare Vouchers) so fees are really affordable. Go along to an Open Day like we did and you won't regret it.

Excellent little school providing individual atten

5 stars

Phoenix School provides an ideal environment for children to learn and develop. With a very good teacher/pupil ratio, the dedicated staff are able to nurture each child's individual abilities, producing impressive results. I am very happy that my grandchild is a Phoenix pupil - it's delightful to hear a child talk enthusiastically the fun they have at school and how happy they are to be there.
