About Me
I'm Amy and have been married to my husband Scott (also my registered assistant) for 20 years this year. We have 3 fantastic children, 2 boys aged 26 and 19 and a girl aged 16 years this year. We also have 2 beautiful granddaughters aged 4 years and 3 months. I have lived in Whittlesey all my life. As well as being a registered childminder with Ofsted until April 2013, I was also a dispenser in a local pharmacy, which I did for over 9 years.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for over 13 years now but I have been a mum for over 26 years within that time I have overcome many hurdles from ongoing speech difficulties to everyday parenting issues. I am registered with Pacey (formerly NCMA) and am First Aid trained. In addition, I am also level 3 trained in childcare and I also offer government-funded spaces for 2,3 & 4 years olds. I offer a wide range of activities for minded children and regularly attend a story club and a fitness club at AJS which supports the transition to school. We also visit a local care home each week which teaches the children empathy and makes them feel part of the community. I aim to offer a home-from-home environment where children feel happy and relaxed. References are available on request.
My Qualifications
As a registered child minder I hold a Paediatric first aid certificate and numerous other qualifications and I have also passed my level 3 diploma in childcare. I offer the government funded spaces for 2,3 & 4 year olds too. I am also regularly undertaking new training and I will continue to do this throughout my career so I am always aware of the latest regulations and up to date with all new techniques and research.
My Availability
I offer flexible childcare and I am prepared to work around most shift patterns. Should your child need before and after school care and they attend Alderman Jacobs Primary school in Whittlesey then please give me a call.
