Thank you for showing an interest in Great Berry Explorers Childminding. Hello, my name is Tracey and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I am a qualified teacher with a passion for the outdoors. I have lived in Great Berry Lane for 30 years with my partner and 2 children (who are now grown up and have left home). We are based in the Langdon Hills area and are very close to Langdon hills recreational park and woodlands. Our aim is to offer children continuity of care as close to their home environment as possible.
My Experience
I have 15 years of childcare experience, 13 years of my experience has been as reception/KS1 teacher. I have an innate passion for the early years and feel it is fundamental in helping children to grow in confidence, develop their personalities, become more independent and reach their full potential. I am very nurturing and believe in positive behaviour management.
My Qualifications
I have Early Years Degree and a PGCE in Early Years. I have a Home Based Learning Award, Safeguarding training level 2 and a Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

My little boy has been going to Tracey since September and has flourished so much since being there. Tracey cares for the children as if they were her own and plans such fantastic activities with them such as baking, trips to the park or the library and messy play but also encourages learning through songs and during play. Seeing all the photos and videos of what he has been up to is reassuring and puts my mind at rest whilst I'm at work knowing he is having such a good time.
I honestly couldn't sing Tracey's praises enough and highly recommended her as a childminder.

My daughter spends three days a week with Tracey and she absolutely loves it! Those three days are always filled with fun, smiles and joy; from weekly trips to the local library, dancing together in the kitchen, snuggles on the sofa reading books, baking, painting or just getting real messy 😁 Tracey always has such fun and educational activities planned for the children in her care and makes sure they always get time outside in the fresh air and exploring nature. In the time my daughter has been going to Tracey, I’ve seen her grow and learn so much. I know I don’t ever have to worry about her whilst I’m at work which is such a weight off my mind. We are so lucky to have found Tracey and so grateful for everything she does for and with my little girl. ❤️

Tracey cares for my daughter 2 days a week and I can honestly say her love, care and dedication to her job and the children in her care, is second to none! My daughter adores Tracey and she is thriving in all areas of not just her learning but her fundamental life skills. It is so important for me that I can go to work and never have to worry about the care that my daughter receives as I know she has the best day being in Tracey’s care. We have had the best experience being with Tracey and I love that my daughter looks forward to going there each week. I can’t thank Tracey enough for everything she does for her xx
