Characteristics of Effective Leaders focuses on the knowledge, skills and characteristics which are needed to be an effective leader in the early years sector. It also explains how these characteristics underpin what Ofsted’s research shows that managers in good and outstanding settings actually do.

Course Content

It is often said that individuals enter the early years sector because they want to work with children, not because they want to become managers. However, it is becoming increasingly evident that the children’s experience in a setting and their learning and development is dependent on the quality of the leadership and management.

This programme provides the developmental guidance so that mangers can increase their ability to lead effectively.
