My daughter became part of the family

Reviewed

I knew that my daughter would suit the settings of being with a childminder rather than in a nursery. I came across Jenny via a friend who used another local childminder.
I met Jenny in her home, which is clean, tidy and offers lots of toys, books, role play and craft activities. Jenny offered settling in sessions which put me and my daughter at ease. It is always hard to have someone else look after your child as you return to work but I felt at ease and comfortable that she would be in safe hands.
Nothing is too much trouble for Jenny and if you are stuck in traffic or have an emergency Jenny is accommodating and understanding.
My daughter loved going to Jenny, knowing she was going to have a fun packed day - toddler group, picnics, farm visits, soft play, craft days and days doing puzzles and books. Whenever I would pick her up she was tired and didn't want to leave. I felt pleased that she was experiencing lots of different activities outside as well as inside, not stuck in a room.
Jenny would often send me pictures to my phone of my daughter and the other children in her care, which I loved receiving and a thoughtful thing to do, always looked like she was having fun. My daughter has formed friendships with the other children in Jenny's care, attending each other's birthday parties and the parents getting to meet each other as well.
My daughter was with Jenny from May 2015 until January 2017, as I am now on maternity leave with my second child. My daughter certainly became part of the family, and it was very sad when she left as a special bond with Jenny and her youngest daughter has been formed.
I am hoping that when I return to work later in the year that my son will go to Jenny.
