As 1st time parents of a 6 month old we were very apprehensive about leaving our daughter with any childcare providers. However, from our first meeting with Lynn and Chris in which Sophie appeared really relaxed,laughing with Lynn; we knew she would be happy.
Lynn and Chris create a safe, friendly ,' family like'setting offering a whole range of inside and outside daily activities . They also encourage the development of every child and their individuality. Sophie can be very fussy with food and often they would both go out of their way to let her explore lots of new flavours and textures. Similarly, on one occasion,Sophie had been so fascinated with one texture toy all week that Chris let her keep it over the weekend. The concept of the bucket list in the childcare setting is also fantastic.
However,our biggest reassurance was the smile Sophie pulled everytime we arrived in the car at their house. This is a friendly,family orientated childcare setting that I would highly recommend to anyone.

After visiting a few child minders and not finding anyone who felt like a good fit we found Lynn and Chris. They were very happy for us to visit and see how our little one got on and how we felt about the house and Lynn/Chris themselves. They are very professional while at the same time welcoming and homely. Personally I am what some may call "paranoid" when it comes to my child's safety but upon visiting Lynn and her husband Chris my mind was put to ease. Our child clearly has a great time when she visits and I just feel extremely lucky to have found them. I definitely recommend them!

I wanted to write a review because originally I never even considered a childminder and initially put my daughter in a nursery. We moved back to halewood and we went to visit a couple of childminders and chose Lynn and Chris'.
What a great decision this was! My daughter has been going since September and loves it.
She gets excited going of a morning and comes out so happy and laughing every day.
Lynn made the transition so easy and made us feel so comfortable. My little girl has learned so much from Lynn, Chris and the 'guys'. She shows me the dancing she's been doing and we often get photos in the day so we can see what they've been up to. They do all kinds!
I couldn't recommend them enough. It makes me feel so much more relaxed going to work and leaving her here knowing she's flourishing in warm, family environment.

My two daughters have both been looked after by Lynn and Chris. One is 8 yrs old and my other daughter is 19months. Lynn and Chris provide a nice secure, homely environment for the children and each day I was able to feel relaxed that my children were being looked after extremely well. They are able to provide a service that caters for all the children's needs and age ranges that they have. My eldest daughter has said they are both very kind and she fully enjoys spending time with them. This is very important for a parent to feel content that their children are happy.
I've recently had another baby and once I'm back at work, I'll be taking the children back to Lynn and Chris.

When looking for care for my little boy I attended a local nursery, which I wasn't fussed on. Then I visited the Pettigrews and one other childminder, but after meeting Lynn and Chris at their home it was obvious to me that I wanted them to care for my son. They were both very welcoming and their home environment was warm and comfortable with a specially converted room full of toys for the kids.
I loved the idea that they work as a team so can have more children, as I believe it's good for them to socialise and helps them learn. This also increases the flexibility which is important to me as my partner and I both work full time shifts. Lynn and Chris are both more than happy to oblige with the flexibility in the childcare we need.
My son has been with the Pettigrew's for nine months now and absolutely loves it, he gets to play out with the others, goes for walks in the Forrest and other trips out, and he is really starting to come on. He will do things just out of the blue and I know it's probably something he's learned with Lynn and Chris.
Overall I am over the moon with the care my son receives from Lynn and Chris and I'm glad I found them, when he's with them I never have to worry as I know he's ok. I would recommend them to anybody who's looking for someone to trust with their little one.

This is my second review – as our circumstances have changed. Initially my eldest daughter attended every morning before school. We now have 3 children attending who are 6, 4 and nearly 2. Both my husband & I work full-time.
When first looking for a childminder in 2012, we met with several, but it was Lynne and Chris who stood out a mile. They say to go with your ‘gut instinct’ and I’m so glad we did!
All three of my children settled in straight away. They get such a wonderful variety of things to do which really enhances their development in many ways. It has been known for them to get upset when we go to collect them in the evenings, as they are so engrossed in activities!
They care for all the children as if they were their own. I have always been more than happy leaving my children with them. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they always go out of their way to make birthdays / Christmas special for the children.
I feel we are really lucky to have found Lynn and Chris and would not hesitate to recommend their services to friends and family.

My daughter has now been going to Lynn and Chris' for a year. I just wanted to reiterate what I have previously said that this is the best childcare in Halewood!
Sophie adores going and has made so many friends. She's continuing to develop beautiful manners and loves exploring the woods, painting outside and doing mini movers dancing.
As she now needs wrap around care with school, Lynn and Chris have once again exceeded expectations and Sophie now enjoys a few hours at school while I'm secure in the knowledge that she is safe and happy being dropped off and picked up.
Learning at school is also reinforced with Lynn and Chris developing and building on the jolly phonics that Sophie is learning.

Lynn and Chris are outstanding childminders. My daughter had previously been in a nursery and I am a teacher so I was very particular about the sort of care my daughter would have.
My child enjoys every minute of being at Lynn and Chris' house. She spends the majority of the day outside with other children learning how to paint, explore the woods, play in tents, sing songs and many other enjoyable, developmental activities.
Lynn and Chris clearly love and care for all the children and go above and beyond to ensure they are all enjoying and achieving. In addition to this, they are incredibly flexible to our needs.
My daughter comes home every day usually singing a new song she has learnt or talking about a little friend she has. Everyday she tells me 'I love Lynn and Chris'
They are the best childcare you could ever hope to find!

Choosing a childminder was not an easy time but as soon as we visited Lynn & Chris at their home & seen the relaxed, friendly, caring environment they provided our mind was made up. They have been extremely accomodating with our requirements and made my return to full time work a lot easier. Settling in periods that they offered us for them to get to know our daughter were wonderful and gave us a chance to get to know them a little better too. Would highly reccomend as our little girl is very happy there!

If you are looking for the ultimate 'home from home' experience for your child, then this is it. The whole family are involved and care so much about the children in their care. Lynn and Chris are so accommodating and always willing to help out, which comes in very handy if you don't have family on your doorstep! My daughter absolutely loves it there, she's often disappointed to see me coming to get her! Couldn't recommend them highly enough.
