About Me
Hi, I'm Mandy, I live on the Sandringham Gardens estate off Birchfield Road, Widnes, with my husband Alex, who is a Fire Officer, and 2 children, Alfie (7) and Emily (4) who both attend St Basil's school. As a Mum I understand how hard it can be to find a good childcare provider, one that you trust to do the best for your child, and one that is able to fit in with your needs and requests. I will give your little ones the individual care and attention that they need and deserve, and I aim to be as flexible as possible around the routine they are already used to at home. I provide a warm, happy, loving and homely environment, good home cooked meals and healthy snacks and drinks. I aim to provide an excellent service for you and your children, to make a positive difference in their, and your lives.
I am qualified, Ofsted registered and a fully insured member of PACEY. I hold a current Paediatric first aid certificate.
The activities your little ones will be doing in my care have all been chosen to develop their skills and confidence, whilst providing a great amount of fun and plenty of smiles and giggles!! I will use observations and informal assessments to note progress and to plan the 'next steps' ensuring all areas of learning and development areas detailed in the EYFS guidelines are covered through a play based curriculum.
We will play with playdoh and get messy with gloop, paint, sing songs, make music and dance. Learn to recognise numbers, letters and explore many many books. Make friends and learn about caring, sharing and differences. We will talk about hygiene and make healthy eating lots of fun! Bake lots of yummy things... some to take home for Mummy & Daddy to test too! We will visit parks, play centres, library's and museums and of course, the local Fire Station. Investigate the outdoors, use our imaginations through role play and dressing up....and learn about taking time to rest by snuggling up for story and talk time!!
Each child is an individual and will already have their own interests and preferences, I will follow and encourage these interests with special activities, either for the whole group or individual child. I am also happy to encourage and assist older children with homework if needed.

My Experience
I registered as a Childminder early in 2012 and I have plenty of experience with children including 7+ years of being a Mummy! I am also involved in caring for children in my local church community (Christening meetings etc.) and am a parent helper at St Basils school.
Currently caring for 8 children on various days throughout the week but still have some availability.

School runs to St Basil's and Birchfield (Am happy to offer runs to other Pre Schools depending on start/finish times)
