Brilliant childminder

Chris and Jennie have been looking after my son for about the last 4 years now. They are so much more than just a drop off and pick up service for school. My son has always been made to feel very welcome there and enjoys going there. If I ever need extra cover due to work commitments they are always happy to help. Couldn't ask for more.

awful

I went to visit Christina back in August 2016, when I was seeking alternative childcare. I had my mum with me. My son was 18 months old. The kids surrounded my son and were nasty to him, laughing at him when they asked what his name was and he replied with mummy. I was shocked to see that this childminder did nothing about these kids behaviour who were around 5 years old or older. THis childminder then deemed fit to post inappropriate comments about my son on social media that I could see AND have screenshots to prove this. She slagged him off for spilling his drink and said how he did this on purpose. She said that my sons behaviour was atrocious when it was not. The house was dirty, the table was sticky and I felt sick being there. I would not recommend this setting at all.

Amazing childminder

Chris has been a godsend! She is amazing with my little girl who smiles every morning when we ring the door bell! She knows who is on the other side of that door and she is very happy to go from my arms to Chris’ which may not seem like much but my little girl does not do that for many people at all! With her previous childminder she used to cry every morning but with Chris she feels safe and loved and does not cry as I leave!
Chris has been very accommodating with the hours I need and the reusable nappies we use. (It is not for everyone!)
My little girl has made loads of progress in the time she has been with Chris and even though she’s only been there for 3 months, I know Chris will be our childminder for many years to come!
I would recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, professional and caring childminder.

Excellent

We have been using Chris as a childminder for a number of years now ever since our first child was 12months.
Chris offers a very friendly and welcoming home, perfect if you are looking for somewhere with more of a family feel.
Both her and Jennie are fantastic with the children, and the kids always have fun time when there (especially one days when they pop to the local park!).
Perfect for what we were looking for, wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Excellent childminder

Our child has been with Chris for nearly a year and we can’t fault the care given to him.

He is looked after very well, enjoys many activities and is always so happy to go, we are now looking into more hours.

We find Chris to be professional and informative at all times with regular updates on his behaviour and progress.

We Couldn’t ask for better and makes us feel very comfortable leaving our child with Chris.

Invaluable

Chris and Jennie are a wonderful childminding team. I was scared to leave my first baby somewhere that felt clinical and impersonal. As soon as I met Chris I knew I trusted her to look after my baby. 5 years later she now looks after both my children and they love her like a Nan.
Chris wouldn’t have been a childminder for this long if she wasn’t passionate about caring for children. Her experience means she knows how to deal with any situation and I often find myself asking her for advice!
Chris and Jennie have been supportive and flexible as our childcare needs changed over the years. Her house is very homely and the children feel safe and comfortable there. They have been able to develop long lasting friendships with the other children and I really believe this has helped with my children’s confidence and social skills.
Chris has been doing the school run to Deneholm for so many years that she knows the teachers and staff really well. Chris takes the time to talk to my child’s teacher and find out what’s going on at the school. Her and Jennie are doing so much more for us than just a drop off service.
Thank you Chris and Jennie for all that you do!

DO NOT USE CHRISTINA

I do not know Christina well as I only enquired her to look after my son however, I know she is very unprofessional as she has been involved in slandering me and my son (who she does not know personally) on Facebook with other childminders.

As a registered childminder, it is your duty to ensure children are protected and to stomp down on other minders who's conduct is unjust and are in breach of data protection.

Do not trust this woman because if you do decide to go with her and perhaps it does not work out, she will more than likely go on Facebook and slander you and put your details on there for everyone to see.

Please do not use her and protect your child.

This review is completely false and has been under investigation by the police. I have been advised by them to block this parent and she has been warned by the police to have no further contact with me.

My 2 year old boy has been with Chris for some months now an I 100% could not be happier. its just the environment I was looking for, did not want a nursery environment form him as hes so young, Chris is perfect, she lets him play and have fun and she cares an looks after him just as I would. would recommend Chris if you want to feel as if your dropping your child of at a family members house. wonderful :)
