About Me
Are you looking for a regular evening or weekend babysitter? or maybe a helping hand for date night? I am 27 years old, and offer a babysitting service. I am great with children.
I have studied Speech and Language Therapy for several years, and am now partway through my BA (Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies which I complete at home, while working in a nursery.
I am very honest, punctual and loyal. I am very reliable, even at quite short notice, and can commute locally. I have a full, clean driving license and drive my own car.. which is always stocked with kids storybooks!
I have been babysitting now on and off for over 10 years, with experience with multiples, sibsets, special needs and newborns.

My Experience
I have been babysitting for around 10 years now, and have been on this site for approx 7 years. I have looked after children from as young as 4 months up to 15 years, with up to 4 children at any one time, so I am experienced with all ages. I also have newborn experience.
Currently I work in a nursery, though I have previously worked in a children's home, a specialist ASD home, and adult care. I am the "Makaton Lead" for our whole setting and "Communication Expert" for Under 2s.
At University, I studied Speech and Language Therapy for 3 years including residential placements, though I did actually change degrees later on. This being said, I have experience with ASD, Communication delays, Dyspraxia and CP, to name a few.
I have previously worked one to one with a little boy, 5, with developmental delays and communication difficulties, supporting him with school work, routine and accessing activities.
Most recently, I have looked after two wonderful school aged children one evening a week, and support them with homework, reading, basic meal preparation, transport to/from hobbies or activities, crafts and their evening routines.
Whilst in Plymouth, I babysat for a lovely family who have left me a glowing review on my page! I'm not shy if you wanted to have a little peep :)
My Qualifications
Due to the experience I have had, I do hold an up to date DBS check, that can be provided if required.
I hold a full, clean driving license with business insurance for transporting your little ones if required.

My Availability
I work Monday- Friday 7.45am-6pm (Early or late shift) and so am unavailable within those hours. i can commit to evening and weekend babysitting

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
Fees dependant on level of care required plus number of children. Negotiable.
Typical rate of pay £10-12 per hour for 1 child.

We are so happy Rachel came to babysit our son Zachary. Rachel was on time, looked after him very well he also liked Rachel a lot as do we. We have used Rachel a few times now and we are always happy when we arrive home. Rachel is reliable, kind person and very reasonable.
