About Me
I am an Ofsted registered Childminder. I am married and mum to two sons. We live in Harrow, within walking distance to several tube stations (Harrow on the Hill, Northwick Park, Harrow and Wealdstone and Kenton) as well as Harrow Bus Station.
I have 2 small dogs who we specifically chose for their gentle nature. They are border terriers and the breed as a whole has a brilliant reputation for being wonderful family pets. Molly and Reggie are family and spend small amounts of time with the children but they have their own space in the house. I also use daycare for them some days. Both dogs and the children are taught to respect each other.
I provide a warm, safe and friendly home environment where i offer all types of learning and development opportunities, following EYFS guidelines. I run a mostly child led setting, following the children's interests.
I keep parents informed of our activities and send regular photos throughout the day.
All the children in my care are treated as part of the family and receive lots of affection throughout the day. I want them to treat my home as their own when they are with me - and they do!!
I drop off and collect from Elmgrove Nursery and Primary School only.
I have all the required CRB checks, public liability insurance, first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding etc.
I provide nutritious home cooked meals and snacks.
I have been a registered childminder since 1999.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 22 years. My last OFSTED inspection took place in september 2018 and resulted in a Good rating with some areas Outstanding. I have cared for lots of children during this time and most of them have been with me long term - usually from baby to leaving primary. I provide a true home from home environment for the children in my care where they enjoy each other's company and are provided with opportunities to mix with several children of different ages. I follow the EYFS curriculum, making it fun for the children whilst also ensuring they reach their full potential in terms of development.
My children are 24 and 27 so i have plenty of experience as a parent along with my 22 years working with children. I work closely with parents and do my utmost to comply with all parents requests regarding care of their children . I am always mindful of the huge trust a parent places in me when leaving their child.
I have comprehensive written policies and procedures covering everything I can think of!!
We have very busy days attending playgroups, parks, libraries etc. At home we spend our time playing, baking, doing arts and crafts, dancing, singing, reading, homework, being loud and anything else the children want to do. I have a small garden but we tend to mostly use the park, which is 10 minutes away.
I take as many courses as I can to benefit both myself and the children I care for and have completed my NVQ Level 3.
I am also registered with the local authority to provide food and with the Information Commissioner's Office (data handling)

I work Tues-Fri 8am - 6pm including school holidays and have 6 weeks holiday per year (I am happy to discuss other hours).

Mayrem has been childminding our daughter S for the last 3 years. She is amazing! She invests time into getting to really know the children and develops a bond with them. S loves spending time with her before and after school. During holidays, she spends full days with her and is always excited about the outings Mayrem has planned for the kids. Her open communication and friendly nature makes it very easy for the parents to interact with her. I can't recommend her enough.
