I provide a home from home environment morning and/or afternoon and full day childcare service in the St. Mellon’s area, situated near the business park. I am a registered childminder with CIW and I’m a member of pacey. The Childcare services that I provide are run from my three-bedroom semi-detached house. There are dedicated downstairs facilities and a dedicated playroom that has been purposely set up for childminding. Within the dedicated space I provide and array of learning and craft resources, games, toys, books and visual displays that will stimulate and educate your child. The room leads out to a large secure garden, where the children under my supervision can enjoy and play with a variety of outdoor play equipment. I provide children with a full and varied range of activities, including cookery, arts and crafts and rhyme time with singing.
We are situated on a quiet cul-de-sac with plenty of parking available for easy drop off and pick up. With many facilities on our doorstep, such as the local library, various playgroups and local parks (Tredegar house & park, local farms (e.g. Cefn Mably), local shops and leisure centre, my aim is to ensure the children get out and about as much as possible. We benefit from extremely good access to the A48/Newport road, and are situated within walking distance of bus routes to Cardiff city centre. We will also enjoy regular outings to Roath park, to feed the ducks, The Welsh National Museum, Walnut Tree Farm, Techniquest, and a variety of soft play centres. In the school holidays we can go further afield and enjoy trips to Bristol zoo, theme parks, Folly farm, Noah’s Ark Zoo and Barry Island.
I can also provide a wraparound service with school pick-ups/drop offs to local schools in the area, along with breakfast club, after school club and holiday clubs.

My Experience
Before I set up my childminding business I have been nannying for families in the Cardiff area for ten years. I am qualified in childcare and education Level 3, I am also fluent in welsh. I offer a bilingual setting where children will learn through the english and welsh language.

Steph took fabulous care of my children for a number of years from 10 months old to the point they started School. I couldn't recommend her highly enough.
She was fully engaged with the children and provided daily feedback on activities so I knew what they had been up to.
She was very engaged in their development, particularly around their reading and writing, through play and lost of arts & crafts.
She also introduced them to the Welsh language and they can speak more Welsh than I can already!
She is totally trustworthy and reliable and the children love her which is the highest endorsement you can get I think!
You wont go wrong in trusting the care of your children with her.
